I would really like a new INS map (even though we got some new) but i think muttrah is a bit cramp and it will be a bloodbath for BLUFOR

One problem, Beirut is in Lebanon.

I already googled it
But I still think that Hebrew will be more okay than Russian, let's pretend that militia is backed by Israel.
On Black Gold miltia is backed by the Russians(I think), that is why they speak Russian.

We can only use Russian or Hebrew, and Hebrew is a better choice, this is what I am talking about.

I think HAMAS vs IDF would be the best on beruit even though its not the hamas operations area the most realistic option we got rather than being completely rediculous and fictional like Russia vs IDF, like that would ever happen in a modern scenario...ticks me off everytime Beruit comes up how laughable the political scenario of a fight like that is.

US vs RU if pretty funny too, most of the PR scenarios are.

How about a severely underequipped IDF vs. Russia?

But with less grenades, zero optics(use Hamas guns, maybe?), very little vehicle other than maybe a hummer.

Maybe IDF decides to go full-retard and start shooting Russian cargo ships going to Syria?

Skitrel wrote:With respect - the bridges here are awfully long, isn't the smallest bridge at least 6 destroyable pieces wide?

Mortars or an SPG techie focusing on bridge destruction would turn Beirut into a lockout every single time if Blufor main was placed on the island. Repairing 2 broken pieces of a bridge is a rare enough event to see, let alone longer bridges that are fully destroyed.
There are 3 bridges, if this ever gets made into a game mode. I don't think it would turn into a lock out, Blufor also have helicopters as well. This type of map with INS would force BluFor to secure important routes towards a cache. I think this map would be perfect, the use of chokes points on INS maps are never featured. This one makes the bridges very important. In real life, there are important locations that must be secured for a raid to be successful. This map would emulate that.

The island doesn't have to be the Blufor Main, the devs could leave the cargo ship as the Blufor main and let them figure out where to set up their FOBs.

I think this would be darn sweet! :)

I don't play much, but darn. This would be sick.

And I agree with everyone saying it would be tough to do...
Since you would have obvoius Cache locations, like the Docks, Construction Site, Train Factory, ect....

I wouldn't mind having a re'make of beruit.

I think IDF vs INS be nice.

Solutions:

1. Re-map Beirut as destroyed city (debris around, etc.)
2. Night and storm (e. g Black Gold Ins)

Did you just volunteered for modelling some of that? Cool

There's an easy solution for the voice problem: Just switch Russia for MEC. After all, Lebanon is an Arabic-speaking, Middle Eastern country.

Anyway, wasn't Beruit originally meant to be IDF vs France?

Still, regardless of anything I just said, I'd much rather see a grey, overcast Muttrah (it must happen at least once or twice a year ;) ) with insurgents, as was mentioned earlier.

Why do insurgency's have to come with a general decline in weather?

They obviously don't, but seeing how Black Gold is the only one we have atm (from what I can remember), I figure why not.

You can work on an Insurgency layer. If its good, send it to the DEVs and we see if its worth being included.

That would be Operation Marlin (which is in Beirut as well), but they decided to keep the MEC because of the Insurgency layout, which would have Insurgents speaking Hebrew.
