I remember when Insurgency was a mod, the chaos of a USMC machinegunner running around screaming alluh akbar while friendly firing everyone was a real dealbreaker. Sadly all communities have these problems but atleast the good times tend to stand out far more than the bad ones.

Got some questions for you...
1.What server you play on?

2.Are you playing on the correct servers? (USA, EU servers?)

3.Who are the clans kicking you out of the squads. (Lol, there are some clans that let you stay in...)

4.Do you talk friendly to players? ( Am figuring you do, but just makin' sure!)

But, really.... there are alot of clans that do kick players out of squads. (Mainly of them are asset whores).
And yes there are INF squads that kick. For the reason, really cause they know the clan mates and they don't know who you are.

But yes, unfortunantly there are squads that are dicks. I just recommend NEVER to join a "FREE KIT" squad...

And what is your Ingame name? I will play w/ you if I see ya in game man!

Alot of players agree though.... there is a decline lately in PR Teamwork.
I just think most vet's or good teamworkers are moving on in life, or just busy as heck.

The HOG server has awesome teamwork a lot of times!

If you see a R-DEV or something like that TAG, join their squad if you can! I remember playing with dbzao and a few other R-DEV's it was a blast. I learned a lot of things on that too.

(dbzao is a dev, just doesn't have tags on)

There has always been bad/annoying players, you'll get that with any game but you can't blame all them. I personally believe that players attitudes and interactions are shaped by gameplay more than anything. The best example of this is comparing COD and Arma, I've played them both and I'm two different people in each game not because I'm bipolar, but because the gameplay is so different in each of them.

PR is not excluded from this at all and as much as I love the game I personally think its biggest flaw is its lack of teamwork (as in working as a team not a squad) this means squads are largely uncoordinated and as a result many just " do there own thing" its not much of a leap for players themselves to follow suite.

Essentially it comes down to how limited the commanders role and abilities are in PR as opposed to the community itself. Imagine a platoon with no leadership in real life? Well that's basically what's holding PR back at the moment. There's a thread about lack of teamwork/coordination in PR if you want to look into it further.

I've been playing almost exclusively on the CIA server now that I think of it, no reason really. But, the two times I've tried the HOG server I was met with nothing but people talking down to me.

US servers (I hope)

H kicked me the two times I was in HOG server, I can't remember the other one. LAG?

Of course I'm friendly, at first, before they kick me or start to be ******** because I'm new.

My ingame is [SLZ] ThirdEye7

P.S LGRW!

I'm glad you like the mod but I don't think the majority of our players are that bad and think you've just been pretty unlucky so far. Unfortunately ever community, even ARMA has their share of dicks in it and you've just got to wade your way though them to find to good people :p

There are a few ways to ensure you get a good game. The best way is to play with a bunch of mates with also one of your squad leading who are going to play the game the way you want to play it, either seriously or joking about or a mixture of both, that just comes down to personal preference as I know quite a few good players who love to fart about on the way to an objective then get serious once they get into combat for example, but some players even like to go as deep as full role playing etc.

If however this isn't an option, try to join squads with "mumble", "comms" or "teamwork" in their name as that is a good indication of what the squad leader wants from the squad and so the other players joining. These squads tend to fill up really fast so getting a spot is pretty tricky but worth it if you can. Also seeing if the SL has his sh*t together is a good indicator too, like saying what kit he needs, where he wants you to spawn and explaining what the squad is going to do etc. If that doesn't happen, you might want to look for another squad.

In time you will also get to know more players and other SLs and they will get to know you and it will be easier to get a space in their squad etc as they may be willing to kick another guy for you.

The other option as touched on by others is to lead a squad yourself and do what I said above about assigning kits, making a plan etc and if people are just in their to get a limited kit or w/e, kick them. But its best that you learn the ins and outs of the game before you SL ideally but not a 100% necessity as most SMs can help out with the little things :)

I hope that helps and you stick around for some more PR :D

I've been in and out of a few games while reading some of these posts and I thank all of you that responded to help me out.

I think being an admin on SEALZ Arma 2 servers has given me a little experience on weeding out **** players...

I've found out that yes the "mumble", "comms" or "teamwork" are good squads to join and that if I make a squad I want good team members to include that in the name!

In my first couple matches as squad leader I was amazed at the amount of duties and privleges the SL has. It took me a round and a half to figure out the details. But I think I did fairly well as my squad only suffered 5 casualties during a very chaotic round to Beirut!

Pretty sure I played with you yesterday OP.

You joined a squad, didn't have a mic, didn't write anything, wanted to solo an APC, took a trans truck by yourself, jumped out of the truck and died and then called our SL a spamming **** for telling you to get to us and stop fucking around.

I've never wanted to jump in a APC, I'm not really a vehicles guy to be honest. What you explained was nothing like me. And I do have a mic too, and even when I'm trying to transition from mic to mic (due to technical difficulties) I will type as well.

So, I don't know what you are trying to pull here but, you sir have me confused with some prick.

My ingame name is [SLZ] ThirdEye7

Yeah I play Infantry 100% of the time, I don't think I'm ready for armor yet.

Thank's BlueDrake!

I just went on HOG and joined a squad, SL told me they need a medic. I took medic ran up their position started talking, asking what our current orders were, we got into a firefight, I was wounded calling for someone to take my kit and all I got was "Jesus! Shut the fuck up." and then a message saying I was kicked from the squad.

P.S. I happened to send my clanmates your latest video in trying to persuade them!

Yeah lol we understand completely... but without getting too deep into clan drama haha we'd be more than happy to have you in our squad sometime, bring all your clan mates as well... if everything goes as planned I'm sure you guys would be in a video to boot =)

The =DRK= US server is about to go up this month as well, so I'll be on with a lot of our guys here in the near future =) so if anything be sure to jump on during that time <3
