Good idea. At least it should heal one instantly, when tossed on the ground. Because when it falls through the ground it does it with some delay i think.jackal22 wrote:I would rater have it act like a medi bag, ie. you hold it out and it will slowly give you 30% health back. then it would disapeer -no need to throw it down.

What bugs me a bit is when you hurt yourself and use the bandage it doesn't seem to do anything sometimes, in the sense that when you jump off something and hurt your legs on landing or whatever - you never know if you really need the bandage or not... it seems

Another element to be mentioned is when you get killed in a hot fight and are revived, drop your FD so you heal up faster and the medic doesn't have to stand there unarmed while you heal.
This is only used when it's hot in the cap zone or you are taking heavy fire and waiting for the medic is dangerous.

Medi bag instead of throw down? An interesting idea... but it would have to look waaay different in deployment to a medi bag otherwise there would be too much of a risk trying to work out who was a medic and who was doing a 'patch job'.
Personaly I like this idea, it does away with extra things lying around on the battlefield cluttering it up, map holes and placement 'oddities', and more importantly it would encourage the use of people patching each other up rather then the situation we have now where 99% of the time people keep their bandages only for themselves.
It could get difficult depending on how the code worked, the last thing you would want is to be bleeding to death and try to patch yourself only to find when you pull out your kit it heals someone else passing buy. Still, I have died a few times from others running over my bandages I dropped for myself.

i think maybe they could use the code from the vanilla ammo bags where you had that white bar that would move across and when it reached the end you got reloaded- and one ammo bag ammo disapeered.
i was thinking maybe use that principle, it has a bar that takes 3-5 seconds to complete and at the end you get 30% health of what ever.
or- morphine injection instead of the medi kit and the 3-5 seconds would be you injecting your self....
and finally, maybe not necessary but you could put a big '+' sign on the screen as a crosshairs for the medic bag, so if you pointed it at no one you would get healed, and if you did they would get healed.
