FOB placement - legal or illegal is a matter of interpretation. You will have to tell me because regardless of what I think, I am not an admin. Your server, your rules, your admins, you <fill in blank> governs what happens on your server period.

It's the same thing with term exploit. Apparently in PR, you can steal a penny and your not a thief. When someone else steals a larger sum, you get to call them out on it regardless of whether you stole a penny or not.

Again, it's all about the server owner and admins that write the dictionary, define the law, and judge the case.

Lastly, there was only one admin on and he couldn't honestly tell me exactly what to do. There was a bit of confusion due to outbursts from the other side. Regardless of whether and admin says it or not, I always check the rules on any server. I bookmark the rules and have my laptop beside me. The only ones that concern me are the open ended "catch all" rules that basically overrule any other rule stating that it is a totalitarian rule regardless of your opinion or interpretation of rules or terms.

If I'm not mistaken every server has an exlusion zone for FOBs near main, on some servers it's at least as far as the DoD can go, on others it's about 400m.

I find it quite funny how you complain about rules which are most often there to ensure a minimal level of fairness - the last time you complained about not being able to bury caches in the night-unkillable trashheaps that roadblocks were, now you complain about not being able to build mortars right next to your repair station.

It shouldn't take an adult a minute to figure out why that is neither fair nor enjoyable for the opposition to get mortar blasted every 3 minutes and why these prohibited zones exist, but you're a special case I guess.

Even following the "outside of DoD" rule is usually pushed by putting it literally on the border, just put the mortars/fobs on the battlefield and play like everyone else.

This seems to be a recurring issue, and if you can't play on our server without it ending up here in what seems to be a lot of extra work for me, in a community that thinks you are not playing fairly, we need to change the discussion to weather or not we want you on our server @rawswamp.

I will use frontliners comment as a response. Your issue seems ridiculous, and you need to stop. This issue is resolved.

@swamp, and dont do it on our server either as we have had a discussion about just this. You may find yourself without a server to play on....

Good to see another NA server up again when waking up as european.
Hopefully the NA playerbase will recover a bit!

I hope so too, would love to see FCV popped way more, playing with 170 ping is so much better than with 260.

It will be back with the say command properly implemented so I can admin properly.

Just FYI we're in the middle of migrating PR:FCV to our new Squad server box. However Project Reality's playerbase is at an all time low, so it may take us a while to wrap up the migration... since it isn't a particularly high priority for us. Especially compared to our considerably higher traffic servers with Foxhole and Squad. Seems like this mod has one foot in the grave.

Hopefully we'll have the server back up sooner than later. Wicca, Slammed, or myself will probably have someone from staff make a post here whenever that happens.

So as Bluedrake said, We've migrated the server from the old laggy server it was running on before to a faster, better spec'd box.

We're gonna seed this Friday at 1800 PRT.
