A free program is Gmax, get it from here: http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

As for tutorials, try http://bfeditor.org/

I'm working on a beginners tutorial as well, but I can never seem to be able to get any work done on it...

You can also just download the 30 day trial for 3ds max.

I'm also available if you need sombody to UV map it for you. Actually, with something as simple as that, you might be able to do it yourself. I personally use DeepUV but theres a program called Uvmapper which I believe is free and should do the job just as well.

k i just looked at the mesh and theirs a few issues that need to be sorted before its ready to be textured,
Try not to have shapes inside each other where the edge is on the same level as another, this will cause problems with texturing.

in this model it won't take very long just to slice the bits so they fit next to each other instead of through each other, you could also weld the vertices to save traingles afterwards.

also when you make cylinders make sure you change the height sections to 1, if their set any higher you add way more poly's, also perfectly round tubes arent needed just set them to like 8-12 sides.

oh and dont forget to delete anything your not going to see (bottoms of cylinders add loads of triangles,)

its a nice first try but don't forget to scale everything right too, the door is shorter than the vegetable stand, and the tool shed is about the same size as your window : P
