I dunno about this, sometimes a bunch of dumbasses will just vote to kick someone based on irrelevant **** or lies told by the kicker

i just get pissed when people start a vote with no reason, other then you have killed them too many times and hurt their e-feelings

No problem SykloAG, you guys tore it up in those A-10's. I was on this afternoon and couldn't get the pilots to reproduce what you guys were able to do, they kept crashing or getting shot down. isn't it amazing how you can demolish the enemy when you work together?

Look forward to playing with you guys again.

JP*wasteland.soldier wrote:No way. If you start a kick vote in a high CPC server (thanks to whomever came up with that term

), you're guaranteed to get at least 10 votes just for starting it. Even if the player never did anything wrong, you type in global chat "SORRY, WRONG GUY", and he has a high TW score.
That' s exactly my take on it too. Nobody ever knows what they are voting on! Much more of a problem than it's worth.
Until you are forced to tell a reason to vote kick I think it should be left out.
Perhaps a script would work in it's place for those problem people. It would be more honest. But there are already things to auto kick in place. Maybe they are just too lenient for the servers you go to?
Maybe there should be a script in place to initiate a vote kick on the person who spends a thousand rounds of ammunition from the blackhawk and hits nothing at all (or similar)

The problem with some auto-kick scripts are that they're based on overall score, not teamwork score. So a guy can be playing for most of a round, and then get away with a long TKing spree before he's removed.
That's why I watch player's teamwork scores, and start issuing them warnings along the lines of "you may want to go medic for a while, because if your teamwork score goes any lower I'm kicking you."

yeah man, great job commanding last night! I was in the 2nd A-10, some friendlies were saying "watch it A-10s!" so I said "take it up with the commander"

giving us all the great spots to hit! if I didn't clip the building at the end it would have been a race for first place.. but just barely hit a building :-/ I downloaded the battle recorder video, looks like some good stuff, too bad its slow on my computer..
in the battle recorder video you can follow malv, from the beginning he drives a hmmwv to the a-10 and gets out and dies (moving vehicle) he returns with the apc, tk's two guys on the way there and then waits for my A-10 to start moving and drives out in front of it.. not that any more evidence is needed, he was banned from devfile finally during that round, the whole previous round he had been destroying spawn cars.. I took a screen every time someone started a kick vote for him and how close it got! also took a screen of the manage tab with EVERY player having a green check next to their name.. they should switch it to majority instead of whatever percentage of the server it is on now, and maybe by team.. say if 50% of the team votes you off, you get kicked.. not sure how hard coded that is into the game?

malv that was the idiots' name alright. The worst was getting shot after trying to recover a damn spawn car from the airport.

I don't know if 50%+1 it's the right percent in the player kick vote, but it's sure the current system doesn't work well.
What about "Squad leader mutiny"?
In the few weeks i'm playing PR I found many times squad leader with no teamwork nature, no VOIP, totally absent from the game and how can we (squad members) can have another squad leader? leave the squad can be the simplest option, but that person is still a leader of a squad and other soldiers could join his squad and the story is the same.
As we now, SLs are essential for the correct playing of this mod, and IMO a "bad SL" is a weak part of the chain.
don't be cruel please

Sure, it would be nice if the commander could field-demote an SL an promote some1 else in the squad.
Regarding kick votes, I already suggested - a kick should IMO require the commander and all the SLs approval. Military tribunal style.

I think the problem is that the scripting doesn't recognize players that do not have voting enabled as not being a part of the vote and still counts them as part of the total needed to make a vote successful, so those players never see the vote ever and continue to play like normal while everyone else on the team, which could be everyone with voting enabled is voting yes, can anyone confirm this?
