Yeah, but I don't think the BF2 engine supports any sort of AI what so ever. I don't really call BF2s bots AI because they’re so incredibly simple minded.
I would be partially offended if the team made up some sort of marines airborne. That would be one step forward and two steps back in the pursuit of realism. I do not believe the USMC should be taken out, for the love of god no, there a very effective ground force, but I don't think a little recognition for other branches, and proper structure is too much to ask. I would suggest changing the team name from USMC to US Military or USA. I hope you can make another tab for more classes though, It would rock to have several more classes. ^_^

TIss true .. even though i love my USMC .. i think there should be some recognition for other branches .. bassically usmc and army i guess are the biggest factors of this game ..
I thought this was about reality

And how often para drops are made when there are known enemies nearby?
I thought so.
How about if we could only respawn in the base spawn point and nowhere else.
At least the reinforcements would arrive in a more realistic manner, rather than one by one...

It may be easy to say all you have to do is give it a string of XYZ factors, and its all good, but you have to keep in mind that esentialy, the team cannot actualy ADD somthing to the game. Sure you can mess with some numbers, add new models, sounds and animations, but as far as I know, there is no sourcecode for programers to compile. This means that everything has limits. In order to make the plane fly around on its own, they have to come up with some sort of trick (like setting its orgin at the center of the map, and giving it an animation that slowly goes in a curcle, but then the attachment points and everything can get thrown off) or they would have to use an existing feture in the game. As far as I know, there are no vehicles tha follow any sort of path in the current BF2.

the US side doesnt have to be named US military or simply USA. it can represent different branches for different maps with different vehicles, weapons etc. just takes more modeling and skinning and more work in general. you can have the Airborne in some maps then the Marines in others and if we get really picky (and the devs havnt dropped dead of exhaustion by then) we could even get down to specific units. throw in a Navy SEALs map, a USMC First Recon map etc etc.

Having a moving cargo plane would be possible (well.. spawning into it). Think of how you can spawn into a vehicle your squad leader is in when it's moving? It could use that system but there just needs to be a way of actually making it go on a loop thats controled by the computer and not a player. Maybe it could be a commanders toy? "Reinforcements by air here", then it could fly over the map, or maybe have say 3 that last for a min or so to people can spawn into it then jump?

They did this in PoE for BF:V, I don't imagine it would be so difficult for the PR Devs, they seem to know what they're doing. You just need to code the object to move in a set pattern, the Spawn point is attached to the object and acts like a squad leader being in a vehicle.
