Stealth & surprise are the key on many maps.
I despair when a trigger happy guy gives away your position and direction in a situation when not announcing your presence is the tactic required.
And if it's caused by a dodgy mouse button (he knows who I'm talking about)........

Buy a new mouse!!

So there we where, in an epic struggel between the US and the Chineese on one of them jungel maps. Hiding in the grass we see swarms of hostiles pass us by just a few feet away. Or goal is to take out their RP, set up shop on that ridge behind us and wait for the order to attack.

Nobody moves. Nobody uses comrose. Everybody is just very ... very ... very ... quiet. Disciplined. Organized. Patient. Then my damn allergies start acting up and after a particular violent sneeze, I accidentally press the firebutton.

And that was that.

I'm glad my clansmates was on ventrilo, otherwise they would never have belived my explenation.

Finger off the trigger, soldier, fire until you intend on putting rounds into whatever your weapon is pointed at.......for that very reason.

:p ;)

You know the scene in Alien Resurrection where the guy with the Alien in his chest starts to cough like mad and all guns suddenly point at his face?

That was me the next hour. Nothing like curing allergies by 5 M16's right in your face.

me and my squad were on that one map with the big PLA temple (one of the brits vs PLA maps) we had 2 engineers, a medic, 1 rifle men the SL and a sniper (covering us as we ran across that big dry lake) so we used the engineers to get inside of the temple seemingly unnoticed we then proceeded to take out the PLA RPs along the way we then got to that little room with the metal destructable door covering it, we got in there and just waited for the PLA to lose that smaller temple and when they did unbenounced to them our squad was already on the flag, we took the flag without incident and won the round.

Kashan Desert: My squad capped the North Village, (by ourselves that is, the rest of the 25 teammembers were goofing of at the airstrip or where ever being uneffective, because they weren't supporting us). We finally capped it after going at it, because the MEC squad were trying to prevent us from capping it. It wasn't even in play for the MEC squad yet, but they were there.

Well, after my squad removed the threat, N. Village is ours. We load up into a humvee, then head towards the S. Bunker. First we get our RP around the east side of the fence surrounding the compound, then head south along the outside of the compound.

Suddenly a MEC tank rolls up from the south towards us. We hunkered down along the fence line and stayed completly still, while the tank rode right past our entire squad, it seemed like he was looking right at us, but he passed right by us. After he was behind us we proceeded to the south bunkers to place another RP. Then we capped the S. Bunkers.

By the way, my squad did an excellent job holding of down the S. Bunkers after wave after wave of attacks. Since it was just us, we were finally overran.
