Hey Everyone. Lots of things goin on here. A ranking system is important for alot of reasons. The psychological reason of being rewarded for skill is a minor one. Once the rush of getting a badge fades the reality sets in that it all is meaningless. In a real world situation the ranking system SHOULD allow others to see who has a higher rank and thus more skills in battle and leadership. I like to know who I am in a squad with, and the ranking system IDEALLY is a way to let you know a little bit about the chap. ABR is as good as it can be, EA sports is really stingy regarding its proprietary ranking system and therefore there are gaping holes in ABR. Its buggy, unreliable, and feeds off of your experience in VBF2. What would be awesome is a totally seperate ranking system that does not use EA code...but that is pie in the sky..so they say.

I bet that's some kind of cursing and flaming -> Bann 'em all

But honestly, ABR is very weird... I've seen this 'fatal@ jefe[rus]' he'd got something like 160.000 or 180.000 points but his rank indicates that he's 4 Star Gen. Other mate had less points then I had and not enough to have the same rank but still did... Somehow I think ABR is slightly bugged and could use some fixing.
I myself had the same problem as Ante9383 till my rank got reset - then BAAM! it was raining promotions.

My basic aviator is not shown on gloryhoundz.com, although it does show up on BFHQ when ABR is activated...strange. Also, for some reason my gloryhoundz stats have not been updated in two days.

Nema problema, inace stari su obadvoje iz Dalmacije ali sam cijeli zivot zivio u inozemstvu.

Nick, in your case it means:

5 minutes in a TOW rocket emplacement (ground defence).

10 minutes in a vanilla jet, i.e. MiG-29. You will earn this the following way. 1. Go on Thors Brigade and wait for Kashan 64 [The admin, Schrotti, was kind enough to put it back in rotation, and so far we've had nothing but success despite the massive problems we had experienced with it in the past]. 2. Open a "MiG Pilot" squad. Jump in the MiG (it will spawn pretty quickly, i.e. after 5 minutes or so.) 3. Survive in the jet for 10 minutes (circling around the airfield is best). 4. Voila, you've earned your badge, now put that jet to use and hunt down those pesky F-16s!!! 6. If you don't survive for that long, no biggie. The jet will respawn after a while. 7. Repeat step 3. 8. Don't disconnect and pray that neither the server nor ABR crashes - the server needs to submit your badge to ABR.

15 minutes in a Blackhawk and you're set. If you don't know how to fly them, open a local server and practice first!

Nota bene:

All of the above did not help me since ABR simply decided to f*ck up.

3.Blackhawk 15 min on any map?
4.AA implacement on any map 10 min?

In my Vanilla life I am a 2 star general so I know how the system goes. My only problem is where does it work in PR since its a mod and uses new mod maps.

1. Yes, just find any ground-defense rocket emplacement (TOW).

Well. I played yesterday for an hour. Got AA and helicopter on Kashan. Some server I never played before. 10th mountain brigade. Excellent server. Then I got to Zatar aon that russian server. Got ground defense and commander! Piece of cake!

So I still miss Aviator.

But I miss knife, pistol, resuply, anti-tank, explosive and repair engenier.

Yeah, and Ante your wings are not on gloryhoundz. Maybe you should try to get them again?

I don't really care, becuase my ranks seem to reset back to private everytime I connect.

Every point I get I get promoted though, to my current rank of staff Sargeant/Sergeant (I forgot how to spell it <.<)

I would like to Figue how to fix this.

You need ABR client to keep track, else the ABR ranked server, who does keep track of you, will promote you all the time again and again

Okay so my gloryhoundz stats were updated last night after a 2-day break, and my basic aviator is now reflected on it.

However, one of the powers that be at ABR now needs to do something about the fact I'm not being promoted. My God, will my stats misery ever end?
