I have v1.12 and I really don't know why this is happening. Here are some images:
I can't post the screenshots for some reason

You know what I had to do! I have bf2 on two computers and it had two diffrent problems.
Computer one : Deleted the bf2 directory in the "my documents" folder and restart everything was fixed.
Computer two : restalled the whole thing in this order.
Step 1 : removed everything bf2, uninstal, delete the EA directory, delete the "my documents/battlefield2" folder
Step 2 : restart and install BF2
Step 3 : Install the bf2_v1_12update
Step 4 : Install the prmm0-1.2fullinstall
Step 5 : Install teh PRMM0.2rev1patch
With me, everytihng worked great.

This is the problem people were having with v1.12 before they installed the hotfix. You have installed the PRMM hotfix right?
Not having the unlockable weapons can sure put teams at a dissadvantage.
I definately noticed this! I have all the unlocks except for sniper (and I will pick up a sniper rifle the day I wax my chest and legs and put on a dress) so I have been using the unlocks everytime I play Chinese or MEC. I like the idea of no one having advantages of unlocks but now without them the MEC and particularly the Chinese are at a major disadvantage.
Maybe I just have to adjust my play style when using these forces - get up close and personal where the extra damage and full-auto fire can be advantageous.

How does the MEC and China have a disadvantage?
Enemy vehicles are still locked, at least when I tried to take them.

I tried the first suggestion you gave but it didn't work. The second suggestion I didn't tried because I reinstalled the game a week ago and it hasn't changed since then

I do have the hotfix and before the interface glitches were much stranger

they are not always. Saw this issue quite a few time even in the previous version. Nothing new. It's so obvious, I thought it was a known issue (hence didn't report it).

XLC900 did you try clearing your cache from the my documents/bf2 folder?
Geogob: Which point are you talking about? The disadvantage or locked vehicles?

the locked vehicles. Sorry, should have been clearer on that.
But I wouldn't say that the disadvantage between US and OPFor is "so obvious"... if disadvantage there is...

Which map did you see unlocked vehicles? All the light/scout vehicles are unlocked and there was an issue with Dragon Valley.

Yes, I actually deleted the whole folder and reset everything but it didn't work. Are the wreckages of vehicle suppose to stay until they are manually destroy? Should I try deleting the cache again and restarting?

Yes they are supposed to stay there. Did you try uninstalling prmm and installing prmm .2 full then the hotfix?

I did as you said and still no progess. I found some different glitches:
I mangaged to make a whole bunch of truck wreckages.
I fired an AK74 but no muzzle flash or sound

was on Songhua Stalement 16 (and some other map too, but can't remember which one. Might have been dragon valley). Was chinese and had access to the APC at main american base. On Seattle server. No idea if it's reproducable now or before the patch. Might be a mix-up problem, similar to the one in 'nilla when friends look like enemies (text color, UAV) and vise-versa.

Thanks. I found that one. There are a couple of typos.

You're welcome. Next time I find something, I'll report it and won't assume it has already been reported. A bug tracking system could be interesting. Since I started using those for modding project I'll won't go anywhere else. Just an idea. Mantis is cool. That the one I use for Infiltration... bugzilla is free but a bit heavy for these kind of projects. If you are curious, I'll send you the link to our system.

Yeah, we used mantis for testing DC.

Nice. Since we have a fairly small community, we opened the system publicly. So anyone could search and report bugs. Could be interesting here too, but with the load you'll probably need someone to manage the system and do only that.

Saw vehicles unlocked on zatar wetland today. then tried several other maps with no bugs.
