Major problems seen with new patch.
First off let me start by saying that I and the community are so happy that we have the new patch. We can now all quench our thirst for what bf2 is suppose to be.
What I have seen to be a problem since patch is
1. no sound file for mec special forces.
2. enemy vehicles are now stealable again.
3. sniper rifle accuracy is so bad now that i can be on a stand still person and wait for a min and still miss. Please switch it back. I can show you sp video for proof.
4. Not having the unlockable weapons can sure put teams at a dissadvantage.
If anyone has any too add please do.
Again I am not complaining because I love the mod but these need to be fixed.

Tell me that you actually believe that a chinese soldier could jump in an american plane and helicopter and know which buttons and controls did what.
The last patch had vehicles locked except for open cab vehicles like jeeps. That is how it should be.

Sometimes the enemies vehicles were not stealable, like at one time on Dragon Valley (single player). Maybe only spec ops can steal? lol
I am really really really going to miss the unlocked medic's gun. That was my mainstay for winning a lot of battles, not because of the zoomed option, but because of its accuracy.

The accuracy of the sniper rifles is absolutely atrocious (at least the M24 is).
I was playing SP on Oman, and I was prone on a rooftop and an MEC was manning the gun of a Vodnik and killing alot of marines. I put my scope over his face, waiting 3-5 seconds, and fired. I missed. I did the same thing fifteen more times and missed.

I'm sorry to say this, but that quick patch pretty much ruined the game. I still thinking you should have been much better off doing a quick patch to allow the game work with BF 1.12 with _no_ (and I really mean no) feature change or bug correction. You cannot do that in a quick fix and expect good results. Funny how every mod crew learns and experiences all these things over and over again.
Changing features involves much more work, testing and thinking. But especially more testing.

Everyone seems pretty estatic with this mod, judging from the games we had this weekend. There are just some minor bugs here and there; but the good far outweigh the bad.{GD}geogob wrote:I'm sorry to say this, but that quick patch pretty much ruined the game. I'm not saying they didn't do a fantastic job. But at some point you have to realise that doing a project like that doesn't depend solely on the good work done by developers. You need a good testing process and, sadly, for that you need time. The more chances you make, the more tests you make. It doesn't matter whether people do good work or not.
Those changes are pretty important for a quick fix. And a lot of things could go wrong, especially if you start up in a mind set that it is a quick fix, and not a full new version revision.
