Humvee will survive a grenade I think but probably not more then 3 direct blasts. The closed or open humvee would be equal in this respect I believe.

Direct hit by IED, C4, mine, RPG, AT4, Heavy rocket, hellfire, TOW would all be a 1 hit kill

I think it does survive 1 hydra rocket but not 2. Same for SA7

The glass isnt bullet proof to any caliber. 40 seconds of small arms will destroy it, 3 seconds apc fire, 10 seconds heli minigun, 3 seconds cobra chaingun, 10 seconds 50 cal, atillery gun 2 seconds.

Also driving into a tank will blow it up!

For comparison a USA tank takes 4 AT4 rocket direct hits to die from a rear attack. 7 to perish from frontal AT4 attack aprox.
it'd also take roughly 24 hydras
Which is why the present HMMWV's in PR are completely unrealistic at the moment and I definitely need to model one as soon as possible. In reality an Up-Armored HMMWV can withstand up to 7.62mm hits without penetration. It can survive an RPG-7 hit depending on the area it’s been hit at, and it can at times even survive an IED attack depending on the blast size. People might bash the HMMWV as being cr*p and providing no protection in reality, but for a 26 year old vehicle which was originally designed for the role if personnel and light cargo transport, it has evolved drastically to meet the demands in which it wasn’t even thought of to perform. The original hmmvee wasn’t even bullet proof, but with the addition of Up-Armored kits it is now capable of transporting troops through the dangerous urban battlefield with vast variety of weapons thrown at it. It can be equipped with various different kinds of armaments to meet the specific need of its mission. So while it might not be the number one choice vehicle in today’s battlefield, it has certainty proved to be an amazing vehicle among its class.

There is no uparmored HMMWV in PR at the moment.

There is the following

1. vBF2 (aka Beach Party edition)

2. Support version

3. TOW version (a regular closed hummer with a TOW launcher on top)

As much as we'd love to gt rid of the terrible vBF2 Hummer it also has to be taken int consderation that the Najiang and Vodnik are also not great. In my opinion US/MEC/China all need better light transport but it's a bg task to take on.

HMMWV with Raytheon SAMs
M1097 Avenger

Not actually a Hummer, but a Toyota Mega Cruiser built to a very similar design;
Type 93

BTW, Rockets = unguided, Missile = guided. An AA rocket would be useless in most situations, though RPG's (not technically rockets either) seem to do a fair job against low & slow targets.

What is the most common US vehicle-mounted close-in AA on the ground nowadays? The Avenger's sole .50 wouldn't scare bigger prey off much but all those missiles would.

Though I'd guess those SLAMRAAM's in the first pic would be more scary to an enemy plane than a puny Stinger.

Otherwise, yeah, yeah! Is it armored?

If it's used in Iraq, it would have to have some kind of armor improvement, unless the United States military is just too stupid/lazy/cheap to go ahead with armoring them.

I dont think the insurgents have any migs left, working ones anyway.
Probably not used in iraq or uparmoured due to the already considerable weight of AA rocket launch system I'd expect

It was on the oman map formerly

While Im here, check out this m134 humvee
