Took me 3 minutes, heres a shovel that acts as a knife..if you wanna add it to a kit the name is shovelmelee, you'll need it to be inside PR aswell - and doing all of that will mess up your ability to play online :-)

Not if u make a melee abillity with right click and digging with left as it is.

When I first saw shovel I was stunned that it cant be used as melee. Its a first thing that comes to mind... second is using it for digging.

This has been discussed before in other threads about close quarters combat. I have wanted to see this since Desert Combat and it was one of the first things I suggested as a DEV, along with fixed bayonets, but making a variety of weapons or options for close quarters combat is more difficult than it sounds, especially without an animator.

If we had all the resources, I would love to see this in for 1.0, along with slash / stab alternate fire options for the fighting knives, but it won't happen for a while.

it would be totally b*tchin though. although, i do have to confess -- i would stop using guns altogether.

can people's heads pop off like in unreal tournament?

I remember that suggestion: it was prior to shovels being introduced and I was all for that too :LOL:
