[R-PUB]bosco wrote:^ Imho, now that would be a pure waste of effort, only considering the time it would take to make the animations, not to mention the small use it would have ingame.
I take it why it would have small use is the fact it would prove very unpopular. Nobody would want to take up the boring job of being an aircraft signalman in a game.

There's no real need for them boring or not though. At the most there are 3 jets at a time you'd have to manage, there's not much to get in the way of the runway, and loads of other stuff that they probably take into account in real life, that doesn't need to be in PR... at the moment

TBH I would, assuming it was a mixed role (Refueling/arming aswell)
I'm not much of a fan of armor/jet maps like kashan. But if one did come in circulation I could see myself actually being useful in this role rather than trying to HAT.

Yeah, I say if the devs were going to implement an aircraft signalman kit then they should get double the reward points for arming/refueling aircraft and it would seem to make their role more important to ensure someone is up for the job kinda like "I'm counting my life on them".

It's silly and impractical when you remember that this is a game with the object of achieving realism and fun. The statics would be nice or even having the forklifts and refuel trucks there and have them be driveable.

There is (was) a forklift in PR.

LOL, I thought this was a joke.
It would be nice to "pimp out" the airfields a bit with statics but I don't think they should really have any use.
Maybe you could start a section in community modding and have people submit their airport statics. Would save the DEVs some work and I'm sure a lot of people would like to see their own work in the mod.

Re: Earlier comments on carriers. I think Iron Gator is great (especially the aircraft elevator).
It would probably end up being yet another "street" but with a tweak with AAS2 it might be a nice map to explore the CQB possibilities of PR.

Vanilla BF2: SF also has armament stackers littered all over the aircraft carrier in the map 'Iron Gator'-

I like it. Although they would have to be continuously given points ot keep them occupied.
