M4A1 and M4 have the same body, they just have different firemodes, no way to say wich one it is. but your really looks more like a XM177E2 (Car-15) with RIS on it.
for those who understand german, here is the best guide about the whole M-16 rifle familie i know.http://www.6millimeter.de/index.php?mod=art&id=17

Nice shots, but dont just trust an airsoft rifle, otherwise you end up modeling just that. :P But there is lots to add to mine, for one, my carrying handle isnt "detachable" yet. Probally most noticable, yet no one mentioned it.

Yea I know.. I wasnt making mine for a game, I was trying to model it for a video where I was using it in it and we needed a CG model of it.

Added a LAM, adjusted thicknesses, and so the carrying handle did come out looking better. Still need to make it "detachable", but the LAM needed to be done. Now I have to do an ACOG, possibly other varients, and possibly a M203.

I still think the carrying handle looks a bit too wide. Compare to this:

Your rails are off as well, this is a cross-section of a Picatinny rail:

And the buttplate still needs to be moved down a bit, I reckon.

Don't take it badly, just trying to get it right. :)

I cant waste polys on the rail like that. I have to keep the model under 6 k polygons, with the mods on it too. Though I do appreciate that first picture, I didnt have a good reference photo for it. Do you mind explaining the buttplate problem a little furthur to me? As much as I have been hearing criticism, I still lack a really good explanation on how to fix it. Based on the refs I have, its accurate, but I know its not in reality, so if every little detail I can gather helps. Thanks for all the help so far, im trying to get this right.

The stock needs to go longer down. It looks too short and fat if you know what I mean.

Up to you. It just looks much better, I think. At least make them narrower at the top; it won't cost you any polies.

Looking at that photo, the buttplate should come less up over the top of the stock, and go further down, I think.

Another photo, with a slightly different butt. It should still be lowered a little, I think.

And if you want different pieces of kit on it, this is good for size comparisons:
