well you can change how thin the air is on maps kashan is something like 5000 just change it to something like 100000 and it would fix that problem.

na, thats just the max altitude your jet can go before it his the invisible dome.

not to my knowlage, as you get higher up, your jet goes faster, think its engine defined.

I take it that fixing it is one of the top priority tasks

afaik its part of the engine, ie, its hard coded and we can not change it.

Fixing the speed gauge seems rather trivial in comparision to everything else. Amazing what you guys have done here, I might have to pickup a stick and learn to fly something besides the AH's.

The climbing acceleration sounds interesting, I think a plane can climb at a high rate...but to ACCELLERATE while climbing is a different thing. I'm no fly boy though but limiting all the circus flying sounds good to me even if it becomes a little less realistic in one area or two. Two bad we can't get G-force blackouts :)

'[R-DEV wrote:dbzao;561841']A lot of updates in aircraft handling in 0.7 thanks to our community members [R-CON]caboose, zangoo and CAS.
... You know I helped to, I was one of the people helping them test and its a funny story how we got started on the air crafts LOL

Now thats an idea !!
a black blurry effect if you sustain a turn for 10-15 seconds ?

hmm would it be possible to some how use the over heat code to do this, make it so if you are pressing a button it turnes the plane and also fires a cannon with a invisible projectile with a live time of 0 and when it over heats you replace the over heat effect with a effect that would make the screen fade away.

i love the way you have to do all of that to do a simple thing in the bf2 engine :P
keep up the good work

I cba reading all the posts but I assume that by accelerate vertically he doesn't mean just being able to climb vertically. Accelerating means you aren't moving at a constant speed or slowing down, but speeding up...

I dont think you can link the overheat effect with a shader effect, and for a start would require custom shaders unless you wanted the LSD effect.

Seems like LSD would be fine for now.

CAS343 wrote:aircraft stall however is another problem and results mostly from the aircraft speeding up at higher altitude due to the "air" getting thinner.
Speed up?

I think a hyperspace jump describes it better. You go from one end of the map to another in less than a second 0.o
