I had the shortest round of PR on HoH, ~ 15 minutes.
The other one was 25 minutes on Kufrah in .6

i dont know i kinda like hamyhong, especially when im US. its sooo challenging but if you have a good squad it feels so rewarding. ive always kind of had a thing for the maps that are more out of balance like hanyong.

I love this map. Suffers from US having no Snipers/Marksmen.
How to Win:
on the onset, 6 men lay down suppressive fire (Rockets, M16s, M249s)
Rest of team split and head up each flank, take it, and push middle.
From here on out just push.

I liked Phoenix, It could get frustrating and (In some areas) can be nade fest, IMO it was better then Hamyong which is currently just a nade fest.

i loved these asymmetrical maps, its was very bad before (when there used to be brits not americans). I think its a great map, just needs a good well organized team like any other map.
/you wanna talk about uneven maps? try operation Compton!
//Operation Compton had problems, but i liked that too

I'd be happy to see it removed, but meanwhile, can't the server owners of the more teamwork oriented servers just remove it from their map cycles if they want to? And in that case maybe it's them the poll needs to be directed to.

Ive played the map a few times, once you get past the slaughterfest of charging up those damned hills and into the forested areas its allright.
Maybe the map can be broadend in scale? if not at least replace it with another US vs PLA map

I haven't played 'da hills' since 0.61, but even then it was a constant charge up/around the hill, hoping that the chinese wouldn't start popping shots at you.
I only just remember operation Phenix, and it wasn't pretty. But I guess it might have been better than 'da hills'....

Don't know why so many don't like this map, it's great! I've played both sides, and had some awesome firefights. So I voted NO, let the map stay!

Don't really like the map, it's kind of boring. I'm just not big on mountains and close quarter combat.

comon guys, its a great map, little nooks and crannies, plus once the US is over the hills its al over for the PLA.

This map is just flat out terrible. Spam... spam... spam... spam. Balance ain't the reason everyone hates this map. Even Muttrah V1 had balace issues, but everyone still loved that map. HoH is an extremely small map (only what... 4 spots for a RP? You can sprint from one end to the other in one go), terrain feels extremely unnatural... this map doesn't even belong in VBF2. I don't see the logic in keeping this map, but removing fan favorites like Muttrah V1, and other decent maps like Op. Phoenix, Zhanjing Security Area, CP Abadan, Airport etc.

Yeah I miss airport, that was cool. Especialy with the parachuting in and all. Probabley the most realistic of all the maps. Hell we're not fighting over the oil fields or 'bunker complex' we're just trying to take back this airport.
But I guess now that ALL kits don't have parachutes I know it'll be a hard landing....

Don't fool yourself, this map plays the same every single time. Give me the walking of Kashan or Basrah over this map anyday.
US charges up side of the hill.
Chinese fire back while throwing nades.
US has 1 or 2 exposed places to place Rally Points.
US spawns back at their main or Rally Point and get slaughtered again and eventually make it to a flag and cap it.
If this is what PR is supposed to be able, then please return the SL respawn and make the weapons accurate again since HoH is basically Vanilla in a can.
It wouldn't hurt if Kufrah was nerfed either. With the HAT in the state it is in, tanks dominate that map.

HoH is problematic, but I think what's more problematic is the grenade kit setup. As someone said in a different thread, there should be less grenades per kit and a reduction in the kits that are supplied with grenades. Even if the spammer can't resupply he'll just die and have another 4 grenades. Also giving a standard delay everytime as the field dressings have would help.

With all due respect dev's, I have to agree with the OP,
when HoH comes on it tends to 'make players go off and make a cup of tea' on our servers. (including me)
I'm am totally confused (with many others) as to why HoH was left in and Phoenix was removed,
HoH is like a wall, the chinese stand on top throwing grenades and shooting down,
the U.S. scurry for the three ladders that go to the top of the wall while the chinese shoot at them.
IMO the setup is just wrong.........
the hills and bunkers are great but the area is way too small
I think the Strike at Karkand comment rings true.
I'd love to see a map that has big steep hills that is hard to move around (like HoH)
but in an area four or five times as big.
IMO HoH is the thorn in PR's side.
If you were going to leave a problematic map in that's hard to place RP's and doesn't really work properly,
I would've picked Muttrah any day over Hills of Hamayong.
