Hills of Hamyong - in my opinion, the worst map present in Project Reality.
Why ?
This map basically breaks any differences between PR and vBF2.
There's no tactical gameplay. Only thing you see all the round is nadespam. Spawnkilling occurs more often then green light on traffic light. As a US, the only thing you do is: spawn, rush towards enemy, get killed, respawn and repeat. As Chinese it's: nade, shoot, get ammo, repeat.
The rallypoint system on this map is a joke. There are like 4 places to put a rallypoint, including one inside a deadzone.
I can't help myself, but each time I'm playing this map I feel more like on Omaha beach with modern weapons, grenades instead of mortar shells, Chinese instead of Germans and without a beach.
What if a new player happens to be so unlucky to join a server with this map ? What will he think ? Most likely something like "I might as well go play Karkand - it's the same but with a city instead of hills"
With all respect to you devs, please, remove this spawn of hell.

Phoenix was fun. Hamyong = death in a can. I support this.
The map is ridiculous to have in any rotation because of the engagement range and vehicles in 0.7 tbh.

when it was first released, it was an excellent map imo
now it just seems like its trying to hard
the map itself is brilliant (trenches, pillboxes etc), but the gameply over it is just..well...tiring
if they were to remove the AT kis from the chinese on this map i think this may give some leway, or in an extreme case, remove them for both sides (tho the LAT proves extremely useful on the US side)

From what I heard the JDAM was not supposed to go to the Chinese which makes them hugely overpowered. But, I don't believe it should go. Its a fun map. It just needs some tweaking.
Also, If you have a team that knows what they're doing and attack one spot at a time it is possible. Keep that in mind, I've done it.

You would think that the US would not assault a position so fortified like this without reducing bunkers to rubble first. Then again, Im just winging it here, not an expert on US military protocols.

I liked Phoenix but it did need a little tweaking here and there. I do not like Hills of Hamyong but with a little tweaking (as in expanding the map more eastward) I think it could be playable again.

I actually liked playing in on the US side a while ago, we managed to make a push up the north side, then rolled down and met up with the rest of the team in the south. Was awesome, especially because the teams are more balanced now (with the deviation, you're no longer up against an army of uber marksmen)
