Just a small correction, it's

ObjectTemplate.ammo.autoReload 1

that needs to be taken away actually. And yes, I think it should be taken away.


Oh and the loadouts selection idea is great, but it should be for other kits too. Would be great to choose between a hand grenade and a smoke grenade(for example).


EDIT: nope, ammo.autoReload does not work with handheld weapons. So it actually MAY be hardcoded.

Using this system, we can save precious T-rose space for any new kits that may be added by 1.0. For example, the Rifleman AA and Rifleman AT kits could be consolidated into one Anti-Vehicle option on the T-rose, which would be divided into Rifleman AA and AT using a right-click selector. The same could be done with the Crewman and Pilot kits, or even Marksman and Sniper (not sure).

Turning Autoreload off would get my vote, if it was possible.

they are high to reduce the "Z fight", if they where on the ground they would look like ****. I'm going to edit the taxiway model at some point (no i aint done it yet guys) to make it easier to get back onto the taxiway on qinling if you fall off.

this is a bug in v0.7 that is going to be fixed in the patch. the stupid editor mucked up the code on save and none of the testers noticed it was missing in testing... or if they did, never reported it...

no easy way to turn this off, we are looking into methods but its not our highest priority right now.

Some interesting suggestions there I think.

I've thought the same about the reload option and also the merlin gun but I dont think they can just add in a gun that easily especially when the ramp moves. Would be cool expecially if the pilot or co pilot controlled wether the gun was available to fire or not,
ie. avoid the blackhawk tracer spam issues

That spec ops only idea for ucb attacks would be great if possible, dreams are made of such things

I'd like to manual reloading in too, if you have to remember how many bullets are in your weapon that should apply all the way till your mags clean, otherwise we might as well just stick the counter back on. Out of all the realistic elements in the game it would hardly be the pinnacle of pains in the arse.

Dunno about anything else in the OP though, I don't recon anyone should have flashes in the first place and I don't think that only spec ops should be allowed in bases unless you can have all spec ops based squads. I think everything other then those 3 things has already been mentioned.

Manual reloading would be fantastic.

All the rest...eh..not that interested. Layers of menus isn't my cup of tea.

I like the manual reloading thing (I use mine on manual anyway), but idea 2 should be changed to "disallow asset placement within kill zones.".

I lost track of this thread a while ago, it is nice though to see it has evolved since then. Again, they are only ieas, better being there than not at all...
