I wonder if that's possible with BF2? That would make the captured civi have to make a decision. Also, wouldn't it be great if they chose to give up information if it announced it globally in-game? I can see it now...
**APLAYER has given up the location of a cache!**
The team would be piiiiissed! Hehe
5 minutes might be a tad long, but that'd have to be played with a bit to find out what a good length would be. I think 2 or 3 minutes might be just about right.
It doesnt even need to be a physical "holding area" that is rendered or represented in game. It could just be implied.
Once a civie is knifed(captured) their wait time begins.
They can elect to respawn at
any point before their wait time is up, and begin playing....but doing so, gives up the location of the cache.
This simulates that they bargained with the Brits and traded intel for freedom.
Otherwise....they wait out their term....and are then "realeased".
This simulates that the Brits could not get them to talk or get any useable intel from them.....so they were then freed.
I think you and 00soldieroffortune00 are right....5 minutes would be long and could detract from wanting to play the class. I said all along that 5 minutes was a mere suggestion....that it could be tweaked and lowered.
A 3 minute wait would be sufficient. 3 minutes lasts just long enough to reinforce the fact to the civie player...DO NOT get caught again.
It keeps the method of play for the class "honest".
What civie player would rush at Brits with the possibility of taking a second 3 minute break?
The word "stupid" comes to mind.
