Same usually goes for me BUT, if I know I can take him out quick and hit hard then I will take the shots. I've gotten used to missing the first shots. Just fire quickly after the first one and take the enemy down before he knows where it came from. Even if you don't kill, you've suppressed the hell outta him.

Body Armor is an amazing thing.
Yeah, bullets are still very smalls thing you know... It make sense a single one doesn't always kill an adult male. Thats probably why military uses burst fireing mode.
