The answer is in the layout of the map itself. The vanilla maps encourage base raping because the uncappables have very few defensive positions.
I was just thinking of this while playing that Road to Kyongan'ni map. The main bases there have a unique design that make them very difficult to approach let alone take.
For reality's sake a Main base should be near impossible to capture by the opponent. Plus the team with the upper hand can still kepp aproaching while the underhanded team can make a way out. JMO
