I think it should be limited to firebases/bunkers too. I mean having to go AAAALLLLL the way back to main base would probably be MORE of a hassle then just dieing and respawning at your rally. No point in adding a feature if it doesn't help anything. But if you could swap out at bunkers/firebases, then you could probably get one closer to the battle-field, and actually have it worth the trek back to the base rather then dieing.
