I play special forces with my buddy the sniper all the time, and I must admit something like this would just be amazing, we use a lot of force recon tactics.

but .6 beta was great with those things, me and my squad had a very epic battle in the bunkers going back and forth but we were fought off. We had to retreat to these buggies in the very south bunker where they spawn and run away. We raced trough the tank traps and headed to outpost for some R&R , but stumbled upon 2 tanks. We ambushed them c4 and mine style. We wanted to R&R but we were called in to go to north bunker. swooped in kicked *** and took the bunker. We then defended, but had 1 full dpv rush in to south and do some guerrila like attacks.

This was all in 1 life for my whole squad.

I think that's because everyone would be SF back when it was a spawn kit even though it had no armour and was less useful, the general consensus was people did it to be l33t, but I think they really did it because aiming with the zoomed in ironsights was complete shit (and also the aimpoint gave the appearence of a zoom factor). I rarely have trouble getting an SF kit nowadays, only the occasional idiot steals it and uses it for infantry squad combat.
