I love the spec ops. With the close combat capability and the hook I can assault bunkers in Kashan and rid them of troops and bunkers in no time, in ejod I can use it to sneak around the town and drop c4 on firebases and the like. In Fools road you are up the roof of the helicopter base in no time shooting everyone with the silenced in the back of the head.

why do you need grapple for the bunkers in Kashan? You can move up on them without the hook as well right?

Hope we get a preview of the new way some old classes will play soon!

Glad to hear Spec Ops (or if you take my suggestion 'commander asset slave builder') is getting some love

FAC sounds like a pretty nice name for them actually

and on the side, Timo does play occasionally but he, like many of us are a little bored with 0.75 and is waiting for 0.8

Special Operations is probable the best name... Hes not only a forward observer, hes not only a saboteur, hes not only a forward air controller. He can do all of those thing, but not limited to one.

Looks like we're just going to have to wait for a 0.8 preview of the new Spec Ops kit (hint hint nudge nudge.)

Regardless of the changes, at least we know the Spec Ops are here to stay... and play.

Spec Ops is usefull as hell.
sneak around the map to kill CP's, Bridges, Bunkers, and even unaware enemies.
And in cooperation with a chopper to bring supplies in and out. you almost cant bring an end about his missions if he stays unoticed.

(thats what i experiencd today) , i was on jabal. got inserted in A1 waited for a CP to pop up. blew it up after 15 minutes sneaking in their base, moved around the base blew up the bridge. askd supplies in G2, chopper came in every 30 minutes for a fresh drop. got new c4 put 2 down on the ditch near the road, everytime a fully loaded engineer squad in a truck or vehicle came in i blew them up. then i got spotted throwed smoke, fired some controlled burts with the m4 all enemies down. then swom to the east al burj, when i regrouped on my squad. but they stopped advancing due too a apc in their. i sneaked up to him, placed everything on him what i had left on explosives. run away. minute later bOOOMMM ! our forces moved into the city capped it, than i went back over the river, sneaked up to un aware AA gunners, took them out with pistol, blew AA up. then main forces moved into the mec main. i was back in the helicopter to carrier. havent died once.
