Maybe the problem lies with the Assault class, not the Support class. I say this because there is no incentive in taking assault over support. The smoke grenades do not persist long enough to be viable for use, and the volume of fire put out by an LMG is preferable to the underslung GL. Frankly, if my squad is full up on medics, ill rarely think about the assault class and go straight to SF or Support. I dont have any ideas, mind you, just complaints =)

In addition to battle6, I think it would be helpful if the 203 didn't zoom when looking through the cross hairs. I find it much more difficult to shoot the 203 with the crosshairs up because the zoom screws up my perception of how high I am actually aiming the thing. The crosshairs are totally worthless, almost every shot needs to be below them at any moderate to long range. this can be fixed if when you bring the crosshairs up if forces you to walk slowly but not zoom.
There is no reason at the moment to pick the assult over the support as hand grenades have the same range and more accuracy than the 203 plus what battle6 said!

I think with the Support Class, the accuracy and power is fine. Its real.
Take away the armour, and make the support guy have a serioulsy bad level of stanima (even more so than it is now) You've really just gotta make it less attractive. But still a vital part of any squad.
Other than those ideas, Tweaking accuracy in different stances and aiming modes is must.

Just take the nades from the support kit. If you are playing support you should be interested in resupplying your squad mates and laying down cover fire. Full Auto should have 'larger' (slightly for balance issues not HUGE) CoF. And those taking the time to pluck a single shot while prone should be rewarded with more accuracy.
I think the Support kit just annoys people when they are hidden away spamming nades all over the place.
