Why when one factions gets somthing does that mean they should all get the same? Stop with that The game is supposed to be Project Reality so in reality GB dosent use a Red dot sight they have the SUSAT and Iron sights(I guess exception in PR is the C8 Carbine)

If you would read two post before yours you would see that your concern has already been addressed. I think we are all well aware of what you are saying and all i asked was if it was planned. Notice this is not in the suggestion forums, i.e this is not a suggestion.GR34 wrote:Why when one factions gets somthing does that mean they should all get the same? Because almost every M4 in combat Army units have a M68, ACOG or a EOTech.

The MEC could always use a H&K claw mount with a picatinny rail mounted on it and then put whatever they want on top of that.

i think i rember ppl saying m68 had no zoom...so its not really taht much diffrent from iron sights....as i see it the m68 is the same as iron sights if u know how to use them....play w/ medic or engi and iron rifleman and then play w/ spec ops w/ a red dot sight...youll see there isnt much of a diffrence

The thing is that you have less clutter with the aimpoint. This means you can see more of your target and the surroundings. This is speaking from both experience and from playing 0.8 with the new aimpoint and 3D irons.Conman51=US= wrote:i think i rember ppl saying m68 had no zoom...so its not really taht much diffrent from iron sights....as i see it the m68 is the same as iron sights if u know how to use them....play w/ medic or engi and iron rifleman and then play w/ spec ops w/ a red dot sight...youll see there isnt much of a diffrence

Re: Brit/MEC/Chinese counterpart to the American M68?
Two things:
1. We are talking about 2 economically strong factions here, MEC would probably be sitting on a load of oil and China isnt that weak either, especially as PR plays in the near future
2. Hence if they had a realistic possibility of access to this kind of equipment, I'm pretty sure they would issue red-dot optics if necessary
So for example on a map like Ejod it wouldnt be bad giving MEC a cobra sight or w.e. would be fit for them...
Would be great to have red-dot optics at least for the MEC/PLA special forces. However its a Dev decision and as it always requires a lot of work I won't demand anything.
just my 2 cents

What normally goes on HK weapons for that sort of thing, anyways?

Re: Brit/MEC/Chinese counterpart to the American M68?
I'd say, anything you damn well want. You get the H&K claw-mount, get a rail or scope rings and affix your desired optic. In the case of the Hensoldt 4x24 scopes that are used in-game, you can just screw it to the claw mount.Maxfragg wrote:i would say none, on the G3 you usualy have a scope or ironsights, apart from the AG3 i can not remember to have seen any reddot sight on a G3

Rudd... what happened to my quote
But my 2 cents, keep the iron sights, see how it goes with the new 3d iron sights and take it from there...
