Brit/MEC/Chinese counterpart to the American M68?

Post by Ironcomatose »

Sorry if this has been brought up but the search didnt turn up nothing. So i was wondering if there is some kind of optic(M68 type thing) planned for the MEC/Brit/Chinese? Seeing as the Americans have the M68 for their medic/engie(and w.e else) i figured there would be one for the rest too.

If so can we know what it will be? No in game shots or anything just something that we can google. Or is there no real counterpart that would realistically be used by those other armies?

Thanks in advance :-)

Ironsights (in all likeliness).

m68 is the red dot sight that the US army will be getting on there m4's instead of iron sights, except for crewman one.

If it counts at all, I was going to answer your question... but Skud here is trying to make a point that it's good to search for an answer before asking, so I'm not going to answer

I'm with Nedlands on this one, I'm thinking ironsights.

i think that since the m4 is a carbine as opposed to other factions who have full rifles that the m68 is a good way to balance things since the ballistics of the m4 im assuming will not be as good as the g3/qbz95 but since those rifles will have ironsights it will have a nice balance. or something.

I recall a post saying the M4 for the US Army will be zeroed at 300m like other factions' standard rifles just for balance purposes...

Yeah i recall hearing something along these lines as well. In any case i sure hope that the DEVs plan to give the MEC/Brits/Chinese something similar to the M68 at some point in the future. It would really be a nice addition to the game unless there is a reason for it not happening.

the mec could get the "Cobra" collimator sight, it's in the vanilla game on the MEC spec ops gun.

i know where your coming from but the British issues a SUSAT to all troops in combat,

If you read my post correctly you would see that i said that if there is no realistic counterpart then NVM the whole thing. But if there is why shouldnt it be put in game?
