Awesome :D
Though you might want to fit it a bit lower:

(Guy in lower left corner is a good side shot)

Are you planning on texturing it? I might be able to if you want...

Very nice, some new kit geometry will do this mod well in the realistic look area.

I'm far from done on this project, but consider yourself recruited!

I've lowered the fit.

Update: 100% more NVG mount.
Update: Ballistic glasses
Question: Should I make the suspension harness using a plane or a 3 dimensional shape?

Well some kind of always-on eye protection is mandatory for the army (Not sure about Marines), so for reality's sake there should only be a model with glasses. But different kinds of glases would be cool (Ballistic glasses, sunglasses... oakleys... :P )

But nice work!
The NVG mount is a nice touch, too

Thanks for the compliments. The glasses were just something I was working on while I waited for advice on the harness for the helmet. In the end I'd like each kit to appear to be an individual soldier, so yes there will be different eye wear, and variations in gear.

Again, any advice, should I make the suspension harness using planes or cubes?

just an idea:
it would ne nice if u make the IOTV-Vests part of the kits and not of the soldier models, if this is possible, because this way a rifleman will ever wear a kevelar vest and a pilot for example will never wear one. Its just a visual thing, but it would look better.

oh and good work so far ;)

I've been considering modelling it, I'm just worried that the poly count of models will go through the roof.

Just an update, got a little stumped on the harness for the ACH, but started on the IOTV this evening.

Could an RMOD change the title of this thread to '[WIP]US Army Kit Geometry'?

Downloading now, you deserve a pat on the head.
ETA: Cool, new pictures I've never seen. I'm a bit of a gear whore myself, so I've already got a handful of ideas in the works as of now. Unfortunately I'm away from my computer, so this weekend is awash for any progress.
