I vote yes for sniper and marksman but not for the rest of the kits.

That way it would not be beneficial to use it in wrong place, because you could go prone or crouch faster, but it would help in those places where shooting from standing position is the only option.

How does that sound?
For snipers and marksmen, it sounds bloody lovely.

...and while all of you are standing underneath the window laughing at my dumbness and my rifle poking out you don't notice that I left my gun up there as bait getting time to circle around you and PWN you with my pistol from behind! Hooah...

BTT: I also agree for deployed marksman and sniper rifle but no need for "normal" rifles.

Yup it makes alot of sense for sniper and marksman kits, would be cool if reloading the sniper rifle didn't have such an extreme effect on the scopes position with the bipod out, and for the scope to not fly about so much after a shot too.

Isnt there less deviation fireing crouched/prone already anyway ?

For snipers and marksman, this idea is full of win, for everyone else, it is semi fail. There's not enough inventory slots and to be honest, it's really not needed. But for Snipers and Marksman, 3 slot could be for quick fire, short zero time, larger deviation, while 4 slot can only be used prone and functions the same as current sniping with laser accuracy but the long zero time.

The OP seems to not be talking about DMRs, he just wants to have an advantage over close range enemies, which is difficult when your rifle goes flying after every shot.

None the less, I think all weapons with bipods on them should have a separate "supported" mode, it's just like how GLs are a distinct weapon from the rifle they are connected to.
