Not HEAT, HE-Frag. There are 100mm APFSDS rounds for the T-55's cannon/launcher, but from what I understand the cannon/launcher of the BMP-3 has different ballistics; the launch cartridge for the AT-10 missile has to be changed for use on the BMP-3. I don't know if it can fire all of the same rounds. My sources list basic load for the gun/launcher as HE-frag rounds and ATGM.

Not sure about HEAT (explosive formed penetrator) rounds for the 30mm, but there are HE-frag / HE-incendiary ones and kinetic energy penetrator (AFFSDS) rounds.

Yeah, there should be some anti inf rounds in the 30mm. Doesnt really matter for me if its HEAT or just HE rounds aslong as they are effective vs infantry.

Hm, i think ill go and start a BMP 3 thread in the suggestion section.

Already is in the vehicle section of .8 feedback. We've got it covered, don't worry. :)

So in real life, the cannon can also shoot a missile?

That's correct. It doesn't have a separate ATGM launcher like the BMP-2/BTR-90 or Bradley. It can fire a laser-guided ATGM from the cannon. We used to have something similar on the old M551 Sheridans.

Back on topic please. :)

THAT IS AWESOME! Dunno why though.

Back on topic, I agree that the Talha should be added. The MEC doesn't *have* to have the exact opposite of what the US/GB factions do; in fact this would be boring. The Talha would be the general troop transport (requiring ONE crewman kit, for the driver) and a rolling MG unit, the BMP-3 would be a heavy transport capable of blasting apart heavy defenses and taking on IFV's (as it is a heavy IFV). They would appear on the same maps together I'd assume (like Kashan for example) filling different roles. Since the BMP-3 requires 2 crewmen, and dedicated transport squads not very common, this APC would give a squad heaver-than-jeep transport and support, while freeing up a guy to move on the ground in the assault.

We still need to figure out what the MEC light transport is to be, though. Perhaps the old UK Saxon could make a reappearance reskinned and bought up by the MEC?

You could further increase it's usefulness by giving true APC's three ammo boxes, and IFV's only two.
