I may be wrong but I think it is unguided?
nope SRAW is guided'[R-PUB wrote:BrokenArrow']I may be wrong but I think it is unguided?
I found this:'[R-PUB wrote:BrokenArrow']I may be wrong but I think it is unguided?
I also found this:During aiming, the Predator's inertial reference autopilot detects the angular motion of the target, and during flight the autopilot directs the missile to a position above the predicted target location. The SRAW is armed with a downward-firing top-attack warhead
The part that really intrigued me though was the last sentence. If there is a frag grenade inside the warhead, I'm assuming that the SRAW was also meant to be an effective anti-personal weapons. The MPIM/ SRAW munition consists of a disposable launcher/ carry case equipped with a 2.5X telescopic sight compatible with current and future night vision devices. The shoulder-launched missile consists of a two- stage, soft- launch propulsion system with inertial guidance and explosively- formed penetrator with follow- through grenade warhead. The missile is capable of firing quickly from its carrying configuration and is safely fired from enclosures. The 35-inch, 20-pound disposable weapon has a range out to 500 meters. Internal rate sensors allow Soldiers to aim directly at a moving target and a soft launch capability allows Soldiers to fire from enclosures. The warhead is extremely lethal due to the combination of an explosively formed penetrator with a follow through fragmentation grenade.
The K-bar, or Ka-bar, is a fighting knife that has been in use with the Marines since World War II.Pence wrote:K-bar?
And the riflemen have bayonet's.

you guys always sneak in your .3 stuff when we least expect it'[R-DEV wrote:Katarn']Already fixed for .3![]()
I thought the molten copper, or whatever the warhead of the rocket is made of, kills the crewfrag grenade does not make it anti infantry. AP peirces the tanks armor, and the fragmentations kill the crew.
So, is the SRAW still in service as an AT weapon? Just how good is it at this role? Are we using the SRAW in game, or is it's model just a place holder for something larger?EMD Phase I (Risk Reduction) was completed in March 1998, and was followed by Phase II (System Evaluation). In January 2002, Lockheed Martin was awarded the first LRIP (Low-Rate Initial Production) contract for Predator, followed by a second one in January 2003. During EMD, a total of about 230 Predator missiles were built, and the two LRIP contracts cover the production of 730 rounds. SRAW was to be a low-cost complement to the larger and more sophisticated FGM-148 Javelin anti-armour missile, but further procurement after LRIP has been cancelled in 2003. In 2004, Lockheed Martin received a contract to refit all remaining Predators to SRAW-MPV (Multi-Purpose Variant) configuration with a new multi-purpose blast-fragmentation warhead. This will convert the missile from an anti-armour to a direct-fire urban assault weapon, which better fulfills the needs of the USMC.
Right now it's a place-holder since it's not the weapon of a dedicated anti-armor specialist, but a single-shot, disposable weapon intended for issue to a few riflemen in each squad.Grey_Ghost wrote:So, is the SRAW still in service as an AT weapon?
