I've got a strange setup. I'm not even sure where i picked it up. I use W for forward in vehicles and both mouse buttons for fire/alt fire, but on foot they are....
LMB - Fire
RMB - Move Forwards
Space - Move Backwards
D - Strafe Left
F - Strafe Right
S - Duck
A - Jump
W - Prone
G - Use/Enter
L Alt - Sight in
L Ctr - Drop kit
V - Camera
B - Voip
C - CMD Voip
X - Squad Radio
Z - Radio
R - Reload
I've been using this setup ever since Kingpin: Life of Crime. Ahh the good old days.

I only Swapped F and G because I use the mouse wheel to change weapons not f.
Oh, voip is on a mouse button.

The only things I have changed is the "`" (or "~", below ESC) to open up the transparent map (without kit selection/squad selection), and "G" in aircraft to drop flares. G isn't used in aircraft, and it is much less awkward to use than "X". And when you are flying, you don't want to always move your hand all the way over to the "M" key for your map.
I moved the console over to the "End" key.

I don't make many changes to defaults.
WASD - movement
Left shift - sprint
Caps and M - map
TAB - scoreboard
Left CTRL - crouch
Alt - voip
C - prone
B - view change
G - pick up
R - reload
E - enter
Q - commo rose
T - secondady commo rose
V - commander voip
Space - jump
INS - unbinded

You people are freaks! Though the ESDF one makes pretty good sense. I might maybe try, but I'd only do it for PR and then it'd probably screw with TF2 or any other shooter where changing defaults is unnecessary.
My only real change. F is push to talk. F is always push to talk. I'm probably going to use my G5 to script more options onto my mouse. I already have a push to talk on the side buttons for in a Helo.

I've been using ESDF for so long that I've gotten used to changing the key config in every game I ever play. It's not always needed, but I'm used to the layout and I prefer it to constant switching between ESDF and WASD.

Yea thats my point. I'm wary of needing to redesign my control schemes universally. Also it would make me retartedly bad if I ever played at a friend's house.
For me I think the mouse is where my control changes are going to happen. Already I use the G5's excellent buttons for making Spy in TF2 fluid. The side scroll lets me backstab an engineer, sap his turret, and then redisguise while cloaking within 1 second.
But thats another game.

I swapped F and G. Left and right arrow keys for the parachute since I had problems consistently hitting the '9' key. I use middle click as an alternate button for prone. I also set one mouse button as an alternate for voip and another as an alternate for flares/smoke (vehicle zoom in PR).

Lol, where did everyone get that esdf from? I can see it being good giving you extra buttons on the left but still...
Anyhow, I have the default controls because when i got bf2 i liked the controls so much that I instead of adopting from other games (i'd played for example with mouse 2 as jump and shift as aim/zooms and such) i now adopt from bf2s controls.
The only edit i've done i think is to place map on mouse 4 and parachute on mouse 5 (from in vbf2 where one would use it every 3 seconds, and moving the hand to nine all the time was really annoying)

Am I still winning the "who has the most ridiculous controls" competition then?

Here's mine.

WASD - movement
Left shift - sprint
Caps and M - map
TAB - scoreboard
Left CTRL - crouch
Alt - icons
Z - prone
C - Second gun view
G - pick up
R - reload
E - enter
Q - commo rose
B - voip
V - commander voip
Space - jump
I think thats mine pretty much exactly. I really didnt change much from the default setting. I think my Z AND X are prone because I had a problem with sometimes missing the Z key, so I gave myself some leeway
Though actually, my keyboard is lulzy different. Ive got a nice system but f***ed my keyboard when I went to move it to another room forgetting it was still plugged in... ripped the cord right out of the back, tearing it. Now I use this:

Despite being called the Dell "QuietKey" it is far from quiet.
Though I have grown to love it and honestly cant get myself to even consider buying a replacement
I should get a new mouse though, using teamspeak and such gets difficult not having a good place to place the button. Need more buttons on the mouse, I think.
