Marines don't carry their bags into combat, they leave them in the HMMWVs. I don't think any soldiers in BF2 should have large sacks besides the engineer for all their mines and explosives. If you dont change a single thing, just take the huge packs off the backs of the medics and supports. Leavee it like that and I will be content.
Remember that the USMC need supplys for invadeing a country.

my problem is either everyone should have packs, or noone should have packs. In combat, a smart soldier would leave his equipment in the vehicle or at base. The only time you will catch a marine with his pack on is on patrol, an airborne mission, or when ambushed. None of these scenarioes are in BF2.
Another problem I have is that the Brits are going to look amazing. (I guess thats not a problem

) If the Brits look great, people will expect the same high standard from the MEC or China as well. I have a feeling enough people will switch to the Brit team whenever possible, maybe make people actually want to be the MEC by making them look unique and professional to the mod (as well as China and the USMC).

I think the PLA should be a focus for this mod too, the British would fight them for Hong Kong for sure! Besides that, i do think that Because China attacked america then Britian should be defending America from the Chin's.

Another complain I ahve with BF2 is that the medic has a green vest while an assaultman has a sand colored vest. It sohuld be one or the other, but not both...

The most important of all, the sniper must lose the damn ghuille suit.
On a general note, I'm sure there a soldier once in a blue moon that carries a backpack. Probably containing MREs, stuff like that in case the soldiers probably become cut-off or isolated.

It would defie the point of snipers. On city maps, yes. In foilage coverd maps, no.

Like Pence said, the sniper needs to lose the ghuillie suit when he's in an urban environment. The scout sniper for the Marines should just wear some MARPAT and a boonie hat. Not sure about the other factions' snipers. Ghuillie suit is a must on maps like Zatar Wetlands and others like it.
I think if the marines are about to see some heavy firefights or assault a city (Karkand) and their base camp isn't that far behind, I don't think they're going to take a cumbersome load of items they don't need.

What are you talking about? The ghuille suit does more harm than good. Realistic wise you would probably only wear a ghuille suit in certain special operations where you would have to behind enemy lines or something. Other than that though it looks funny having a bush run around the map.

Terranova, you bring up a good point. If the snipers are being assigned to an infantry platoon, they're not really going to be needing a ghuillie suit.

Thats final then.

You'd be surprised at what we have to carry. I'm not a Marine, but I was Infantry. And your not on the vehicles all the time. During a major ground fight, most people will take everything they have. A saying that fits the military, better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

And I had a green vest, but others had a tan vest. Mostly because they purchased the sand colored vest themselves. Now they issue them to you. But everyone was mostly different, different setups and styles. It makes it more realistic how everyone isn't the same.

Sorry.
I just remember when I went to JRTC in Louisiana, and we attacked this mock city. We cleared it out, and got attacked by a bunch of BMP's. Alot of us were wiped out because we left the javelins and AT-4's behind. 1st sgt was PISSED! That's what happens when you leave shit on the vehicles man.

That insurgency mod looks like it is being made for Counter Strike espically with some of the weapon models.

These guys are just contractors who have been in teh Marine Corp. It says it on that site and you can watch videos of people who look exactly the same. I think they are working for Blackwater.
