I always enjoyed sniping in Joint Operations too. 8)

Standing=much sway, kneeling=some sway, prone=minimal sway. If a rifle had a bipod (like the m24), when prone and "H" was pressed, it was deployed and eliminated all scope sway. but limited your field of fire to ~120 degrees around. Even when there was no sway, there was still breathing. When the player inhaled, the scope inched up slightly, and when the player exhaled, it sank. As PR becoems slower and slower gameplay wise, features liek this would be very welcome if we wish to have legitimate snipers stay realistic.

Off topic, another thing in liek about AA is the ironsights. They are slightly faded around the edges giving the illusion of focus rather than zooming in. They are slightly transparent also giving the feeling of looking through two eyes instead of one. It is an amazing feature that I would love to see in PR.
I only did basic training in AA because then I found out AA has a ranking system 10 times worse than BF2 so I wasn't allowed to play on 95% of the servers. But I liked the iron sight.

In many games the scope sway's and it really gives a more realistic feeling. I also think the ironsight from every rifle needs to sway a little. Another idea: When you stand behind a small wall and you use your iron sight, that you can lean your rifle on the wall so you can shoot more stable. So you have less recoil and better accuracy.

I think I came in my pants when I realized how awsome the JO sniping was set up. I have nooooo idea why more games don't do this. It took skill, patience, and talent. You culdnt just pick up a sniper rifle and go to town, you had to think out your position (and if you found a good one it was amazing) find the range, and then go to town! It was so much fun because you know every shot you took you put some heart into it ;) . although id like that in conjunction with the AA bipod set up and breathing.

And speaking of Sniping, has anyone played Sniper Elite? That video game is a must check out. If you have a PS2 it's only $20. dont get thrown off by the bad graphics, the game is alot of fun. 3rd person shooter with veryyy realistic sniping, AND it's got co-op mode so you and a friend can play together. and the coolest thing is the matrix style headshots  totally badass, go ot gamespot or something to check it out.

As far as im aware, most if not all Delta Force games (JO included) have one of the best Sniping simulation systems in an FPS to date. Delta Force: BHD was my personaly favourite. Never enjoyed JO though, to be honest. To many rambos.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

xxx120proofxxx, check your PMs about your butchered PR 0.3 sig (only to be used in it's original state) and your other one, that's way over the max allowed sig size.

I recently re-read the list of features added to 0.3, and just noticed that the Spec Ops SIMRAD has a range finder... Yep, that's right it's going to be quite possible for snipers to use a Spec Ops guy as a spotter, and with a little practise and self experimentation players will be able to become super snipers in no time. Think about it, you spend a bit of time on an empty server with two guys and practise your sniping, you set up the target guy at 100m and fire at the head, measure the drop. Repeat until you get an average, and notice where it is on the crosshair. Repeat with several distances until you know off by heart the bullet drop distances, then in battle your range finder gives you a distance and you can compensate for distance! Brilliant!

Ehhhhhhh
I told this idea about month ago in sniper thread...
And no answer :( (
It seems that i haven't been noticed :( ((

Back to the topic:
Sniping like in Delta... few bullet drop settings and adjusting scope...
Ad something to check range and voila...
Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice.

i think that the best way is still the way of JO like i suggested yesterday...

it's accurate and precise

it's takes a while...

and it easy to use,

So PRMM crew do something about it, because m24 just irritates me now in
0,25v

Good luck (Y) :D

Well they've fixed it in 0.3... They can't fix it until they release a new version. Please, by all means criticize the mod AFTER you've done some research as to what the team is or has already done.
