I'd love to see a sniper get an accompanying mini-sniper that spots like, everything for him, like in BF2142, the support has the drone...
lol, jk.

Suggestions for 0.4 Ive just mentioned this on another post.
Forget about the US side and focus on improving the MEC/PLA side.

i would really like to see the knife dissapear and replaced by a melee rifle butt action. this would take new animations, and im not sure if the bf2 engine would like it, but it would be more realistic in close quarter combat.

it would mean going to select it in the menu like you would the knife if any chance of doing it. Then how are you ment to smack a guy round the head with a SAW but?

i guess only certain classes will be able to do it? it would only be realistic to include rifles, smg's and pistols... i dont think the machine guns would be light enough to manhandle in a melee fight.
selecting it in the menu would be fine as long as its a fast transition.
the animations are what i think would cause the biggest problem/delay.... they would need to code the third person animations AND the first person ones.
im not a coder but i'd guess that would be alot of work.
it would be really cool though

the biggest problem is the work invovled. We at the moment have no real dedicated andimator on the team, and we still need to animate stuff liek reloading of .50 cals.

all i have to say is: WE NEED MORE BIRDS! (little ones preverably)
it would be kool to have a chinock in .4, carry 10 or so passengers, 3 guys manning 50.cals or GPMGs (2 at the side doors and one on the tailgate)
also it would be gd if you could walk around in it (and do a spec ops skydive out the back!

)
then again, u could make it a MOBLIE SPAWNPOINT!

Map it to a keyboard key.

Would it be possible to add a zoom function to the gunner in the attack helos like they have in USI while still retaining the anti-tank missiles for the gunner?

A snipers "area protection" should be: to Not be seen. If you are seen, move to a different location. All the claymores do is reward a stupid sniper with a free kill for getting found. If you are found, you should get whats coming to you. Bust out your pistol, because it's hurtin' time
I do know how a sniper should work in real life and as such you would be pretty useless in this game. I prefer to stay with my team to give them support when attacking or defending, and then I have to stay close to be able to move with them. As you know the game doesent have good posibilities when it comes to concealing/protecting your position or getting to it, therefore it would be good to have some area-protection.
But again this was a suggestion and I can live very well without the claymores.
