Does it really matter if the numbers are a bit off? Glad you know how to use Google!

Thing to remeber about suggesting new weapons is with how much work the devs are putting into 1.0 and how soon it will probaly be coming out there isn;t much point in modeling and getting a new sniper in game. Of course having said that .4 will probaly have new snipers for all the teams.

The M24 needs to be dropped from USMC based maps, and needs to be replaced by an M40 or Barret sniper rifle. I'd go with the barret models, since they're more powerful and provide a more distuingished advantage being a .50 caliber rifle.
I dont think the M24 is an urgent deal, if the developers have time they may want to look into the M40 as it is more commonly used by that marines, you will find the M24 associated with the Army more. If i am correct sniper teams in the USMC consist of 4 people, with a M40 and a M82, all four members carry there respected weapons weather it by M16 or M249. I may be off but i think it is one the line.

Not that it matters to this post but...

Wind is not the hardest part in real life shooting. It's judging the distance and placing you scope accordingly. Usually wind is a problem when it is at high velocity or the target is more then 400+ meters away. Take it from me i've been hunting all my life.
Oh man i just seen this, im sorry but im gunna have to trust you. =D

Yeah going to have to trust you too. Although if the wind is gusting at like 60 miles an hour i would've of thought that would affect the bullets path.

And i take back that every sniper team carries a M82 that was an all out mistake.

They use it but the M40A3 is the most commonly used sniper among the USMC

The bullet deviation is HELLISH... wind would make it impossible.

Yes, the rifle is effective on material but your letters are a bit off.

It's an Anti-materiel rifle, matériel being French, and the military term for military equipment.

:)

they could use the unlock system to let u choose between the m24 and new sniper (cant remeber its name).

I had no probs using the m24. I still felt it should be more accurate tho.

'[R-DEV wrote:Eddie Baker']The PLA and MEC have higher capacity magazines and a higher rate of fire (semi-automatic), they can use those to their advantage. Not every weapon and vehicle is going to have an exact equivalent.
