update of both sides of the armor, just making them as seperat meshes so far until i get the final blockout of them done, and then they will need some tweaking to have armor plates not align exactly, making it feel a bit more custom.

@ Motherdear:

Do you need any extra references? If you want to, I could do some searching.

Oh, and good job so far. :)

yeah, the USMC really needs a weaker armed apc, just like the WZ511a and the Striker

this aint really it... Has a Mk19 as its main weapon :p

Although yes, a lot less powerful weapon wise than the LAV-25 I would say its probably effectiveness wise, just under the BTR-60? Not 100%, might be less but ye, quite a bit above the Strkyer firepower wise, thou the Mk19 would probably suck at range.

just wondering is it armoured better? and how that would equate to game play

it believe that it has a weaker armor in it's basic form, but with the armor system added on top it might be even more powerful than the stryker but i doubt it.

anyway for full specs of armor and similar look here:
Amphibious Assault Vehicle

the hard thing to judge is that it has different armor plates all over

Very nice so far, pretty dam even poly distribution to, keep it up! Is this also a lot slower in water than the BTR?

sure, the MK19 is interesting, but the striker could have one aswell, right? and anyways it should be lots weaker than the LAV-25s cannon, and i guess its not so fast in the water. anyone here already been inside one?

In water:
BTR-60 10km/h
AAVP7A1 13,5km/h

and mk19 cannot penetrate armor

okay another update for you guys, spent a few hours on adding stuff today, i made the armor and the vehicle a complete mesh and added various size tweaks to make the proportions right on the body (different armor sizes on each side of the vehicle) and then i adjusted small parts of the body to make room for the turrets etc and proportioned it right (thx for those ref pictures rhino helped a lot here)
on top of that i added the last small parts that joins the armor with the body itself so that there are no blunt faces. so to sum it all up i pretty much completed the add on armor system today (took about 7 hours in total (including waste time like eating etc :P )

so progress is going good, and for those of you guys that just want to see the progress take a look here :D
