How about we just make the sniper invisible...
(just kidding, don't tear my head off)

I really miss the ghuille suits though.

You guys should know, that Ghillie suits aren't (from my knowledge) just a bunch of local foliage on the suit. You also put darker leaves, and make some parts "stick up" so to speak, to simulate shadows to make you look like foliage even more. This screenshot from CoD4 demonstrates this, although I do think it is a bit exaggerated.

Which makes this sort of impractical, as much as I want them, because (the problem with sniper hideouts) shadow and glare stuff don't work like real life.

instead of making a ghilli suit, would it be possible to make him look a little different? like Rudy Reyes from generation kill, he is the platoons sniper. give him a scarve and put a couple of camo cloth on his helmet and gear. but dont overdue it, here are some examples

guy on the right

guy on the left

in this vid, look at his helmet! not his gay naked body(but if u cant help yourself, u can:mrgreen :)
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gFVfbPFADF4&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gFVfbPFADF4&hl=de&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/youtube]

for ppl who believe there should be and for those who oppose the ghillie suit, this could be a sollution. so discus it!

*if this was suggested before, then nvm 8) and heres a link from the show, go check it out*

yeah the ghillie works great at shorter ranges, if you're patient enough to work with branches swaying in your view it's fine, the reason it doesnt work for alot of people is cause they always want the clear view there by exposing themselves
