No not really just played alittle around with the generalisation of a average north norwegian guy. No offense to those actually living there as cursing is everywhere in norway, but the nort norwegian has some pretty ackward words.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

This is a stupid discussion. As dialects might be "fun" in a 3rd grade movie about the Home Guard saving the world against Armageddon (read; "Lange Flate Ballær 2"), it has nothing to do in this faction. Com chatter is standardized for a reason. In example, bad transmission or reception, one can still guess the content based on standards. Same reason we have and use the NATO Phonetic-alphabet.

Also, remember to use jargon. It's not "jump in", it's "mount up" (translated from the norwegian text, don't know what other factions uses).

Jump in - Hopp inn/Kom deg inn bilen
This command will have the same sound for any vehicle, including choppers, so the "Kom deg inn i bilen" will sound very awkward.

Yeah, serious suggestions only.

You want to know why?

Firstly it's because these jokes are only funny for norwegians, and secondly, they're only funny the first time.

...Having your SL curse in a norwegian dialect every time he puts down a marker is not fun in the long run.

"Klikk!" could be mistaken for a weapon jam in real life though. Maybe "Klikk! Lader" would work better?

"Go go go" should be "Gi gass!".

Thats my 2 cent...

Agree on "Klikk", Prinsen.

...However "Gi gass" is a little cheesy.

"Klikk" only means that the weapon is not fireing. Instead of having a spesific word for each malfunction, there is just one.

Yep, I actually came to think of this and logged on to suggest it. But there you go.

For "fall back", you could have "tilbake tilbake tilbake!". That's what we shout during contact drills. Might vary with unit, though.
"Gi gass!" is also used a lot at GSV - it's sort of our motto.
"Need pickup" could be "trenger transportstøtte" eller "trenger pickup".

We should have people who have actually been in the military to write the scripts tbh. (Not saying that we haven't allready, so don't get mad!) ... That's my two cents.
