The truth is, "make the RPG be more feared", the RPG isnt as feared as you would think. Yes it is destructive, yes it can fire fairly long, but hits like SHIT at the range insurgents usually use it. Like firering them on Coalition bases at night, you dont REALLY fear it, but you take good precoursions.

I say we need to boost all explosive sounds, so if granade or RPG explodes nearby everyone would jump in their chairs. Right now explosions sound like blowing up a paper bag. And maybe add that noise in the ears like in this video 1:10 and 2:00

I'm just happy there is splash damage at all now. If you remember the RPG's of .86 you won't be complaining now.

This, an RPG shot at infantry was pretty much useless even if it was a meter away.

I loved .86 rpgs, if I accidentally shot it wrong and it blew up in my face I would not start bleeding :razz:

Darn Arma2 weapons look sound and feel very real. Especially the sound effect.

Good graphic are not so much of jealous to me because new games are always better in graphic.

But even Arma2 LAT shooting and detonating sound feels too soft compared to other small arms firing sound in Arma2 and that Insurgent video.

Is anyone in Arma2 making something like PR like realism and Insurgency?

in Arma2 some of the models are really bad and the game doesn't look that good ethier the grpahics just look like a quick update from ArmA
anyway i think that if we can we should try and borrow some sounds off other MOD's around? as well as BF2 ones would this be possible

Yer the animation in PR in infinatley better, u can see just from the vid. However the sound in ArmA 2 is very convincing. They seem to get the clattering noise of small arms fire at distance perfect. The same could be said for explosions as well. However noises at close range in PR, eg firing your own gun seem to be spot on. Yer and borrowing the sounds seems like a good idea- i hope they are compatible... no idea

don't want to dribble over this however the sounds are a good example, yet when you actually see him firing the LMG he's holding it lets the whole game down. This is where PR's beast animation beats ArmA 2 by a mile.

I think more dust and sound from the RPG detonation is most definitely in order. Right now you can fire an RPG at a wall 20 feet from someone and they will simply hop up and blast away at you. The sound and the amount of flying dust caused by the explosion is quite small, should definitely be beefed way up.

anyway yes the i think that all guns need to have louder better sounds i think that once we start getting mroe and more maps we'll get better gameplay and the sound will be more imersive xD
can't wait for PR2
