As far as I recall, there was a concept vehicle for Battlefield 2, for which the 'ramp up' 'ramp down' keys were specifically made for.
It was a vehicle-transporting hovercraft, but I believe it was never implemented due to clipping issues (a bit like how if you try to stand in the merlin (the chopper you were thinking of), or a vehicle whilst it's moving.
There was a fully textured concept picture of it somewhere but I can't remember the vehicles name, and so I can't find the picture!

Heskey, I think you're looking for this:
LCAC... as well as Harrier and rest of the stuff... :_(

That's the one, thanks.
And I didn't know about the harrier? Do you have further concept art for vehicles that didn't make it? I'd be interested in seeing them.

Battlefield 2 Pre Release things- Oh Shi- - BF2S Forums
Seems like Snake's content got wiped out during the maintenance, but in his post (up there on the link) he says what was all supposed to be inside. Harpoons, poison gas, dual-seated F-18s, and stuff... I could ask that guy for all the material he has, if people want it.

Yeah I remember that video, blimey that looks like a bag of **** haha. I remember two things about the BF2 trailers:
1.) Thinking it was cool to need infantry to mark ground targets for jets.
2.) Being in awe at the cabin of the blackhawk having a sophisticated hit box, in that a HAT missle could fly through the cabin compartment!
Always wished Blackhawk doors would close though using the ramp up/down feature =[

Yeah, correct me if I'm wrong, but that is called "wingwalking" or something... Though, we should cut with this now, 'cause mods are going to go apeshit crazy when they see this derailment...

Oh man. BF2 could have been such an awesome game instead of such a mediocre game.

Yes... Boats.

Boaty Boat type things with more Boats Included!
Anyway - Imho we need a wider range of Boats, seeing as All forces in PR use the US boat, when even the British don't use that (for most operations) and use a different type of Incredibly fast, very low boat.

Look 3 posts back were making a LCVP and more stuff, the Australian faction is making their own RHIB and the Brasil faction is also making a new boat if i am right.

Boats are useful, but it US have lost docks there is little chance of them getting there alive, although its worth a try rather sitting and waiting for 10 mins for a huey to spawn and then watch someone roll it on the carrier.

Wasn't there a landing craft on one of the BF series which had an opening ramp?

Need a 7th seat for the boat captain to transport a squad of 6.
