On the resupply theme. We could 1. have a vehicle designated for that, e.g. a Stryke, or we could also use the laser designation to drop supply (forgot what missile hull it was, I'll have to check)

could we call in C-130 supply drops? that would be cool :P

Indeed. It wouldn't be with a laser designator though. You'd just radio, and your commander would direct the aircraft to your position.

would we need a C-130 pilot?

Yeah, but I'm sure we could work in automated supply drops as well. That, and airstrikes. It would be fun.

To fill that role, how about a B-52H or B-1B?

Why the hell not? That'd be great.

I like this idea, it would promote teamwork. There should be no static ammo boxes in the field, there should be an armoury at each main base with kits like medium mgs, nade launchers, hand held SAMs. And on each map there should be lightly armoured/unarmed supply vehicles, such as a hummve or technical with some ammo boxes in back. Also going along these lines, there should be no static med cabinets, to ensure the use of combat medics, there are so many time where instead of calling for a medic people run into the back of an abandoned trailer and use a big medic locker.. makes 0 sense and hinders teamplay.

On the subject of being revived, maybe you could code people like the vehicles, they get down to 0 health and theyre almost useless(combat innefective) and from that point there health will slowly detiriate untill they actualy die and respawn(or they get shot again) but if a medic can get ot them in time he can revive them enough so they can move to a safe location and heal him fully.

Regarding the last part of your post, I like it alot. Having the soldier model fall to the ground as if dead (but still barely alive), he wouldn't be able to crouch, stand or run as normal, and could only move around (very slowly) while prone, since he would be too weak to do anything else, and of course the movments would be extremley slow considering the fact that the soldier's only objective now is to continue living (forget trying to pick up a gun and fire at an enemy. {Of course a possibility would be that if choosing to he could [if he had em equipped] demo. pack suicide or grenade suicide anyone who cam to finish him off. And of course, he would be able to radio for help....maybe...}

Or to just make him absolutley helpless, (which in many cases they are) just have him appear dead, but still alive, so a medic could revive him if he is close, and enemies may leave him alone thinking hes done. Oh the possibilities.

I like both the idea at the original post with the logistics...and the last one..about realistic health damage...

Maybe supply drops and radios could be done similar to the OFP way. With proper scripting once call in an evac helo, A-10 strike or arty of various kinds and differing ammo types.

Not all supply drops and firemissions, etc. Basically, there would be nautrally occuring ones, of course, and then others which are more pinpoint would be controlled by players on the ground and by the pilots themselves. Things like B52s bombing the **** out of an area would be purely scripted.

As for ammo 7mags because after all this is REALITY!

And as for medics i think will be like Joint operations, if you are hit by a car or headshot... no bringing you back.

Headshots could be coded to damage you so much that you just die instantly, just like when I SCUD hits a tank, cars Im not so sure about, though if I were driving, Id back over you and then shoot you, just to be safe.

Realism is the key here. I think if you ARE revived, you'll be in a weakened state. For example, if you're blown half way to the Moon but you didn't die of a headshot, if you're revived, your aim will be severely impaired, and you'll be limping around quite a bit. Better than dead, though.

There is such a thing in 'Enemy Territory'
When you die, you wait in your dead body for a period of time and shouting for medic with pain.
You can skip the waiting time and respawn if u wish...

But we have to re-consider it; in order to make it more realistic.
For example Medic should spend more time to revive a dead guy.

Spangleberry, wouldnt that discourage surviving?
