Like i said, PR had Browning weapon, you didn't see us copying the browning, instead we used AT... now why does PR have AT even if they have so many tanks and weapons that can kill another tank.

Yeah TOW launchers have been suggested virtually since the introduction of deployable assets in 0.5/0.6, which was in early 2007... The mod had heavy AT up till now to deal with it, but I'm guessing it was always on the 'to-do' list. Pretty far fetched to try and assert that it was due to GC's implementation of tows that PR then got them... farcical almost.

GC gets mod of the year and modb editors choice award in the same year, then you can come back and ***** that pr isn't doing what it promissed.

Gc had a handful of interesting ideas but if their lead is such a rude person I say screw your ideas.

I'm speaking only of my own opinions ofc, I'm not because at this point in time teh Javelin is considered overpowered, the TOW is the next best thing, also has the quality that more than just Blufor teams can use one.

So just to be clear, you are concerned that PR stole a concept? A concept that they couldn't possibly have come up without help? typing in Anti-tank in to the search function will give a wide variety of responses. Did PR steal any actual work from your mod?

Enough of conjecture.

And sort out what your thread is about

is it a grievance you wish to state?
is it feedback on the mod you wish to share?

best pick one, because your topic subject has changed 3 times already.

2007 - TOW was already suggested.
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f18-pr ... asset.html

and if you read that thread, it was already suggested before then!

Well with PR hogging up all the things, it's pretty hard.

I tell you this. if we do make it into top 100's then we will talk.

That's exactly the thing. Mod of the Year is based on popularity, so by its nature it links quality with quantity. PR is a fantastic mod, but it really does monopolise due to the feedback effect of its initial popularity. Two mods can do the same thing, but PR's will be seen as the original and better. That's what this thread is about to me at least.

Who's going to care about a little conflict in Georgia when the whole world is at war in PR? Yes it's life, but it's not really fair. Just be a little kinder to the little mods before you overshadow them.

I'm sorry, hogging?

Translate that in to mantalk...

what you really mean is that a large number of people give up alot of free time to produce a high quality mod with nothing but their own sweat except for the trades or gifts received with full permission of all concerned parties (especially other BSS mods) Beat competitors to win an award.

Don't take this as an insult, but I get the feeling that most people here only know of your mod from the airlifting video we all saw ages ago.

EDIT - not gonna post in this thread anymore, I believe the OP arrived with an axe to grind and no positive input.

So you are suggesting PR a mod that has been worked on and polished since bf2 was relised should step aside give free advertising to othe mods just because they aren't finding a nitch? Sorry the world doesn't work that.

Also pr also won the edditors choice award which isn't based on popularity.

Well those people will remember the video.

"Hogging" means that so many people play PR that it's now past the critical mass whereby it is actually physically impossible for you to be anything less than most popular. The word of mouth has so many people coming in that it is actually sucking dry mods around you. I know that's not your fault, and congratulations for getting in early and lasting the distance, but just know that we're painfully aware of how hard it is to maintain an orbit around the sun of BF2 modding with the Jupiter of PR drawing in all the asteroids of players.

And hell yes Editor's Choice is based on popularity. You think the editor has the time to play every mod? Get real.

Could you explain what that is? Is it sourly spamming other mods' forums?

Vepr wrote:Well i am gonna start this disappointment article with a little Introduction.

I am Vepr from Georgian Conflict mod. I have been seeing posts on Youtube, Pr forums, even said in my face that some things that GC has, must go to PR. (They weren't nice either when they said it). I am sorry PR if i break your spell over people that are hooked on your mod. Here is my point.

I am really disappointed in PR because it lacks to research the history and the reason why the battle is happening. In the map called "Iron Ridge" it takes place in Ukraine, why? (answer me this question, why?) I am from Ukraine and i have never herd of the recent battle that took place in Ukraine. Why does Chechnya come in Ukraine? I even doubt Chechnya still fights. Sure they might be a "dead conflict" in Chechnya, but i don't see any resemblance between Ukraine and Chechnya, in fact i don't even think we have anything that they want. Why is Russia on our turf? I am pretty sure that Ukraine and Russia are 2 different countries that have 2 different languages.
Quite true.

Is substantially less a realism mod now than it was a few years ago too.

The realism is all notional and aesthetic now. Very disappointing.

Me and VEPR are the developers. That's a pretty strong affiliation if you ask me.
