@Exiled.If directed at me I was talking about insurgent pickup RPG kits.

@Fragger.You do have a point but the thing is its highly dependent on the vehicle actuly driving over your IED.So much can go wrong I.E none happends to come were you placed it,you get shot before anything does come,he sees it and goes other way,gunner sees you and shoots in the face before you set it off and so on.Thats what balenced it out.

I think if iv sat in 1spot bored out of my mind for 30mins at the least i deserve either a kill or said vehicle having to RTB.
Placing IED's now is pointless as it only kills infantry and thay see them easy plus infantry rarely have to walk on an insurgent map and killing the vehicle is impossable.

Sapper now is a kit only used to lay mines and thats it.The gun is **** probebly to compensate for how IED's used to be.Nade traps allways kill more of your own than the enemy unless placing them wile getting chased etc also get nade traps in the other warrior kit with a good ish gun.

I dont want to be that guy that says remove it because i dont like it but the way the current IED is you may as well remove it as it does nothing for the team exept maybe scair vehicle's that dont know IED does nothing to harm them. If you use IEDs and watch them your just a guy laying on ground doing nothing to help the team and everyone knows even if you do get to blow it it does naff all.

Also blufor now get TANKS on allmost all maps and we get nerfed IEDs and nerfed RPG's so we cant even take out light vehicles anymore let alone the new heavy ones.And bloody hell we cant even blow bridges anymore.

Blufor also got a heavy ticket buff so the round basicly ends when all caches are down (exept gaza)

anyway's im off to play *** game mode.

About 3 days ago 6 guys took decoy big reds, decoy bomb cars, and decoy garries to blow up the tank on al basrah. We had 1 garry and 1 bomb car, and 4 decoys.

The real garry got destroyed, but 1 bomb car managed to ram it and blow up the tank. Basically winning the round in the process.

RPG is not designed to destroy MBT's. Neither are Pipe bombs. Heck, pipe bombs can't even kill a LAV, but a single IED can blow up a truck or Humvee. Use them in tandem, with RPG's, and with a buddy. Also use it with ammo crates.

As I've said in other posts exactly the same as this one, They reduced the effectiveness of the RPG and the IED's for two separate reasons.

1. Realism. A pipe cannot blow up a tank, or track it. Or completely destroy a humvee. Sure, you may find posts when you vaguely search "pipe bomb humvee", but they are not completely destroyed and the interior of the vehicle, in most posts, looks undamaged. Only on the detonation location is the most damage, but it doesn't blow up the entire vehicle. Which is why they don't make IED's 1 hit a humvee or truck.

2. Gameplay. Encourages teamwork and ambush squads. If you use IED's in tandem with other IEDs, Mines, and RPG's they are extreamly effective. It also will stop people from lone wolfing as sappers. You need someone with you for it to be as effective as it could be. It also helps the Blufor gain some logistic and transport routes, getting people to build more firebases.

It also lets the APC's survive longer then a couple minutes in game, since bomb cars already rape everything in their path.

Hehehe no, lol.

Long Story short, 2-10 pounds of explosive material that you get in the typical PR insurgent IED will do nothing but annoy a HMMWV. Gunpouder, Composition 4 (Doubt I would see that in a IED), shrapnel, in a small tubed package won't damage anything but a man on the ground.

you never know could be some high tech explosives or MICs :p
