HAHA bicycles would be awesome! If it can be implimented it would be cool. The only vehicle that the civilian would be allowed to be in without being inside ROE

The bike idea sounds good, because if you put in cars that would allow civvies to roadkill people. I do miss the white red cross SUV though, it was fun to play mobile hospital every now and then.

AFAIK, they were in Op. Archer, but I've not seen them around them as I don't play much Op. Archer anymore.SnipeHunt wrote:Are the taxi's still around?

Re: civilian only vehicle
Problem with that is it takes away from the tactical advantages. Although then again there really isn't one. But forcing insurgents to walk everywhere is A) Annoying B) StupidXxxGrANdmA wrote:as of right now, civis can be shot while driving a car, truck, or any vehicles the ins have acsess to. This sucks because if I want to get close to an enemy vehicle, I'll just get killed. I know that you can just park the vehicle out of site from the enemy, then wait 2 minutes so they get a punishment for shooting you , but by the time the 2 mins is up, the enemy may have already moved. So it can be annoying sometimes. My suggestion is to add a vehicle (maybe a civi car that's a different color from the rest) that only civis can drive. The civi would also be safe from enemy fire as you wouldn't be allowed to kill him. Since it'd be a unique color, the blufor need not worry for the chance it could be a bomb car so there would be no reason to shoot. Maybe only civis could be allowed into the car(so no insurgents). This could represent civis that are just carrying on their dailly lives that have nothing to do with the insurgency. I know they're called colaborators but still, there are some civilians out there that have nothing to do with the terrorists. Benefits of this suggeation is that it provides civis with a safe means of transport and also it would just require someone to changethe color of a few cars. Sorry if this post is abit hard to follow because I'm pretty tired now. It's almost midnight but I just wanted to get this idea down b4 I forgot.
And giving the civilians a civi only car is just the same. Then they know it's not a bomb car so they don't need to worry. Where as a car can be used as a distraction. Plus it just might take away from road blocks. Which i'd love to see more of being used by insurgents. It's always fun to block off roads.

i love the bicycle/stamina idea ... it is harmless and does what is needed (transporting civis)
there is no reason not to implement that for collaborators ... unless im missing smthg

I reckon this might be workable if, and only if, the occupants of the car die automatically upon running someone over, and receive a spawn time of 300 seconds. Armed insurgents trying to enter the car should start to black out due to having the wrong kit.

True, however a system like this would mimic (not completely) the current Insurgent situation. Civilians in Iraq are still allowed to drive around in vehicles as part of their daily lives, hence this would bring PR closer to the realism.Meza82 wrote:driving around in a battle zone during combat is just asking to be lit the f**k up

Re: civilian only vehicle
i like the idea however i would like to add a little addition i'm not sure if it possible or not every vechical on insurgency should be treated as a civi only one untill their is a person with a wepon that is veiwable for example:
there is one car it has a sun roof if lets someone with the AK-74 kit get in but is inside the car and not on the sun roof it should still be considered a civi vechical untill the said person with a wepon goes onto the sunroof or into a position where the wepon can be seen.
although what i think would be implemented would be 2-3 civi kits one used for building and repairing and such and one for healing and one general one that has slight offensive wepons such as rocks and possibly IED's but no mines but this is kinda going Off Topic.

Not so sure about the 300 second spawn timer. Just make it so if an civi on a bike it within say 20 meters of inf or 60 meters close to a vehicle, he can be shot. Or make it so they can't be shot on the bike at all just have it so it is impossible to run someone over and kill them

Re: civilian only vehicle
While the civilians have the right to drive, most of them well aware of what can happen if they decide to drive towards coalition forces, especially during the firefight. And if some are not, all coalition forces have a sign on their vehicles since day one on in the theater, both in English and Arabic to keep back certain distance or they will get fired upon.dtacs wrote:True, however a system like this would mimic (not completely) the current Insurgent situation. On another note, I have never seen a vehicle with a regular citizen drive towards the firefight, simply because anyone with just a tad of common sense would drive away and not towards it. I believe if Dev's were to implement such vehicle to be operated by civilians only, it would still get lit up by coalition forces. It is a game after all and no matter how harsh you might try to punish for such action, you can never simulate the full "realism" of the situation and consequences. My two cents.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.If you can't eat it or hump it. Piss on it and walk away

so wait one out of 3 classes are considered a close topic on the thread i just made...well that just annoying!
anyway on topic!
i really like this idea, it'll allow for a coalition not to shoot every car they see and be more cautious thus giving people more chance with bomb cars and other tactics that real insurgents use, also it'll be fun

I want to do some biking as a civi. I think it's a great idea. If any insurgents hop on have it say something like "you need a CIVILIAN kit to operate this vehicle," just like it says when you hop in a helicopter or jet or armor.

Re: civilian only vehicle
maybe a dev could say wether or not this suggestion could be considered. I'd really like to see the civis at least have some means of safe transport.
