For some reason the CPR tool tends to push them up hills, rather than getting them to the bottom so you can revive them, from what I've found.
You're experiencing a placebo effect.
CPR works exactly like field dressings do, beside wasting the actual field dressing and having a shorter "range". If you CPR/drop a field dressing on the side of the body that is closer to the bottom of the hill, it will jump up the hill then fall down. If you were to keep CPRing/dropping field dressings on that side, he will continue to go up the hill.
Instead, CPR the side that is closest the top of the hill, and it will pop the body UP from that point, causing him to slide downward, even if you keep using the CPR.
CPR is also good for finding the body when the corpse deviates from it's actual world-position; find the guy using mumble or go around his kit and CPR where his body actually is, and it'll reappear in front of you.

I never said that I was reviving from the bottom, I was reviving from the area inside his body. I've been playing and using medic since this tool was implemented and have found it useful once in a blue moon, mainly when someone is stuck inside an object, so I'll continue to use the tried and tested patch method.
Also, try to be a little less patronizing in your posts.
Sorry mate didn't mean too!

I still don't understand how the body would be somewhere else than it appears? And how would you tell? Is there a screenshot or anything anywhere?

Vapour, what happens is you see the body slide down a hill, but it doesnt realy. Only way to tell is by talking to the person your trying to rev, or from experience of seeing it several times. Its difficult to replicate to make a screen shot off it.

Sometimes the body can move but the 'ghost' stats in the original position where the player died.
Basically, you want to revive the ghost, not the body. This often occurs on hills or areas where the body can move, also with tank shells. You can use mumble or the map to line up the medic and resuscitate icon to then stab the invisible space, but the body will 'teleport' back to the ghost position, reviving the player. Its an annoying, uncommon bug.

Oh okay. So what does resuscitate actually do? Like, behind the animation?

Protip: Use cpr to make the body slide/bounce around and epipen it then, works 100% of the time.

it basically just fires a projectile that hits the dead body so that it moves

I use the patches before reviving so the victim doesn't get the black & white effect after reviving . Is it supposed to be that way? I use the CPR quite often actually. Am I just so unlucky, that I get these hard corpses so often?

So if I CPR'd the enemy, they'd die?

Lol not in the same way a gun does, but in the same way that the GLTD fires a projectile, it doesn't actually do any damage
But logically you should be able to hurt them with it, even though it would just be annoying

The GLTD fires something? All I see is a green square?

It's a laser designator for an Apache, Cobra, F16 or A10, use that, then one of them come in(piloted by someone on your team obviously) and they drop a bomb or hellfire.

Epipen to an enemy is 10 damage. Good luck killin' them.
That green square is what it fires; it doesn't do damage, but the way that BF2 (and many other games if they attempted this sort of thing) would have the "weapon" (GLTD) "fire" (lase the target) via a "projectile" (the lase-box itself).
I don't know of a better way to describe it.

I think I read somewhere that rocks do damage. Does a civie throwing rocks mean we can shoot them?

No. I believe 2 rocks point blank can kill you though, so the civi CAN kill the BLUFOR if they are totally ninja.
Only if they've had the epipen or CPR tool within 1 minute or are driving, also you can't shoot them if they are using the medic bag.
Also if they're within 1 minute of spawning, you can shoot them. In a nutshell, if you spawn, use the CPR/epipen, lay low for one minute and you'll be legal.

I don't think so. Bodies can be moved by smoke and other objects hitting them. But rocks probably wont kill them.
Vapourstreak wrote:I think I read somewhere that rocks do damage. Does a civie throwing rocks mean we can shoot them?
OT, but yes rocks do damage, but not loads. Enough to get the hostile to start bleeding so I guess around 25% damage or slightly more. As for rules of engagement, no. You can only shoot civvies down if they've just spawned, healed, revived or picked up a weapon within the last minuite. IIRC. To be sure just read the manual.
As for the ghost, invisible body it is such a rare bug I wouldn't worry about it. Its much more common that people get stuck in objects.
