If you need any help making a tutorial video, just send me a PM
Well this is my first post on this thread.mat552 wrote: Ya da Ya da just read his post no need to huge post
i think how to medic needs its own vid, there are too much peple that dont know how to do itmat552 wrote:Alright, possible curriculum of videos, each around 4-6 minutes long. 7 minutes as a hard limit per video. If these look good, I'll start writing scripts if desired, or I'll let you wonderful people work it out. This is supposed to be a fairly complete list. We should Really Wait until .92, because it'll certainly change some of the info.
Do you feel there is 4-5 minutes worth of info on the medic alone?karambaitos wrote:i think how to medic needs its own vid, there are too much peple that dont know how to do it
You mean something like this?Startrekern wrote:Actually, there are a few things you left out of the medic tutorial which could be used to fill extra space. For example, tricks with smoke grenades and patches in the event that resuscitating does not work, and perhaps a little tip about disposing of enemy bodies with incendiary grenades. Why cover just the basics?
Incendiaries dont actually work. Only grenades/explosions/molotovs work.Startrekern wrote:disposing of enemy bodies with incendiary grenades.
Because those things are advanced tricks. Altough the smoke grenade is something they should know. Patches and disposing of bodies is something they'd have to find out as they goStartrekern wrote:Actually, there are a few things you left out of the medic tutorial which could be used to fill extra space. Also when is the time right for the medic to move in, what should he do if more victims are to be revived, how to prioritize, what does the rest of the squad need to do when he is reviving, when to pop smoke and when not.. there is many other things to point out.Startrekern wrote:Actually, there are a few things you left out of the medic tutorial which could be used to fill extra space. In a word? Newbies. These videos aren't for people who have a grasp on PR, or for people who've been playing. The first set needs to focus on the baseline. The first video is intended to be a primer on the mod as a whole including a fresh install from BF2 1.0.Startrekern wrote:Actually, there are a few things you left out of the medic tutorial which could be used to fill extra space. Heya sylent, unless the devs pull out a miracle, we aren't going to have .92 in time for your next issue (probably), and the videos will take some time. I can put a link to the thread in my signature, and from there they can look through it.sylent/shooter wrote:Hello, my name is sylent/shooter and I'm the head of the Project Reality magazine team. We noticed this thread, and are interesting in including these little video tutorials in our magazine. Something for new comers to Project Reality to watch and learn from. Almost like a "RTFM" or read the f'n magazineWhoever is actually working on tutorials. Please PM me if you would like to have it featured.
Thanks

Ace, it's exciting to help people, I know. I have no problems with other people doing their own set of videos, in fact they might be of better quality, but I am not going to work on anything than script drafts for my list until .92 comes out, which will then be populated with correct and updated information.acemantura wrote:Hey Guys, I already Have the YouTube Channel registered here and an XFire community here. I am a whore.
My Fraps problem has been fixed, it turned out that my hard drive was too slow to capture in 1080p, so I bumped it down to 720 and everything is just peachy.
Our To Do list is laid out here, quite nicely I might add, and I think we should start with the medic kit to get our baseline going. I also believe that we should keep these "Beginner" vids short, sweet and entertaining. I have an old script that might be able to help here, which is only a portion of what I need to go and track down. Mat, when can you improve upon my work? I also have a live, in-game shot compilation here that I use for inspiration.
If you would like participate, please PM me, and we'll get this show on the Road.
In your PM Please tell me what your abilities are, what you would like to do, and if you plan to film please make sure you can capture in either 1280x1024 or 1280x720.
We will most likely start work the week of the 23rd or most probably the week of the 30th. Until then PM me so I can compile who can do what and when.
LETS DO IT!!! :d rillserg
Peace
Ace

So is it salvageable? Or do we start from scratch?
