You have enough space left over to move a lot of your smaller overlaps into to fill up that unused space, even some of the slightly larger ones can be moved out too.

I Think we're somewhere done.
I did an AO Bake but for some reason on the stand for the weapon I get this very wierd face error
I've tried re-doing the UV Face plenty of times. no work. Could it be something wrong with the model? All Verts and Edges are lined up properly. The problem is symmetrical. Happens on the other side as well.

it is symmetrical and overlapped?
if so all you need to do is drag the overlap outside the [0-1] range in the bake model, or even easier, set the element to a different W coordinate and problem solved.

It was, Took it off overlapping, the outer faces are now seperate so we have 2 pieces. and still have the exact same blemish. Even with a basic color material added from 3ds Max and not the AO Bake it still provides a blemish. Same exact thing

well you probably have 4 identical faces on top of each other, try dragging all but one out of the 0-1 range

Alright I see the problem here.
Yet another one of my quick tips that got lost in the modeling
It is a N-gon problem, caused by the modeler not defining his edges.
a quick fix, but I must stress that this is
not good practice, is to go to the model, select all verts and hit "connect".
this
might solve your problem if you are lucky and randomness is on your side.

Edit. WELL. I'm no modeler, I've tried and failed on many counts, but I do see the issues and am fixing now. Some overlapping faces and 1 was indented a bit much.
See I know the basics
NOW THE REAL QUESTION! Can I break all those Connections I made previously to spot my problem

Even that tiny WIP Plane was so pretty.

From time to time during a year, I dont really know.
I made this model back in -08 and since then I havent done much more modeling. I learnd pretty much everything from that beretta videotutorial on moddb.
Also big

to Wilkinson for continuing with the project. I tried to Uv it myself a few times but it always ended in /ragequit for me.

I'm starting to learn off the Beretta and Source Vids on modeling as well. I'm sorta getting it.

Sorry havent been around too much. Work and School = Less time for PR. Also for some reason modeling just sort of clicked so I'm looking into trying again.
here is a base texture. Scratches are kinda dumb without bumpmaps ( which I am doing by heightmaps).
Please dont mind the ammobox as I know the colors are messed up.

you should make sure that you don't make all the scratches and stuff yet, make a proper base for the metal etc and then begin working on highlights and then scratches. find some tuts for all this.

im new to texturing i've been using PS for quite some time im not to bad in it now if someone would give me the model and UV map it i'd give a shot at texturing it cause i'd like to see this ingame and i have a lot of time on my hands till i go into the army so like i said if someone wants to give me the UV map's and model i'll give a go at texturing it
