Quite simply the best PR server in my opinion. Awesome teamwork when I play, and a better part of the server is in Mumble. This makes playing ALOT more fun!
Good work TG, keep it up!

You might wanna update the original post with the new rules like no insurgent attacks on main (Which I think is stupid tbh).

Good suggestion, the new ones are buried in the middle of the thread.

Has the server switched over to the new machines I heard about yet? Was having a fantastic game on Beirut earlier but the server crashed
Also, do we need a rule on how incendiaries are used? Some people seem to think we do...

Rule on incendiaries? What like throwing them at vehicles, or FBs from long range?

Related to this. It is possible to incendiary caches through walls/floors into basements, my question is should this be considered glitching or just a morally unacceptable side effect of an inherently unrealistic game mechanic.

Awesome

Agreed, I was particularly tickled last night to see more people on each individual team on TG mumble than there were people using mumble in NATO for the PRT. Creates a great atmosphere.

Mumble usage is awesome and really enhances the PR experience.
However, the admins would ask the following of everyone in our mumble channel:
Please recognize that you are on the TacticalGamer mumble channel, and as such, you respect our rules for usage. In other words, don't spam force-center, keep the chatter down between rounds, especially after the 2:00 mark on the count-down so that the squad-leaders can talk to their squad members, behave in a mature manner and watch the language. Unfortunately, the behavior on mumble hasn't been acceptable of late and we're going to start kicking people from the game server that can't follow our rules. We want everyone to have fun, but at the same time please be respectful of TacticalGamer and our policies.

Also regarding bad behavior on mumble.... you can get banned from mumble server as well..
Those rules are easy to follow and I think most servers that is proper ettiquette:
-don't spam force-center
-keep the chatter down between rounds, especially after the 2:00 mark on the count-down so that the squad-leaders can talk to their squad members
-behave in a mature manner and watch the language.
If you cant follow those basic rules, we dont really want you on the PR mumble server.

Guy on Mumble yesterday saying "Shut the f*** up" in a british accent was annoying. Too bad I didn't alt-tab and wrote down his name
Just ranting, nevermind this.

Actually, I'm glad you posted it. If this happens in the future, please report the person to the TG admins and we will handle the person. You can reach us via mumble (if we're on), teamspeak (if you have access to our TS server - simply register on our forums to get access) or post in our Contact an Admin forum (again, have to register first). I have a link to the forum in my signature below.

Don't worry d1spo, I have registered on TG forums and I've been a member of the wonderful TG community for almost 2 years now.
It wasn't Brummy, Cougar
He sounded like a 15 year old.

This is probably related to a conversation I initiated in game. It is possible to unrealistically abuse limitations of the game-engine or the current PR-build;
You can use certain explosives to kill caches trough all kinds of materials ... This gets really bad, e.g. I once destroyed my own cache with an artillery ied, while there was a whole mountain of terrain in between the Ied and the cache (the direct line distance was over 50m trough the mountain on Korengal). This is obviously not intended and a bug/glitch, the same on a different scale can be done with incendiary grenades.
I've discussed this at length with DBZAO, and it appears to be a very difficult problem to fix.
Do we need a rule for this? NO!
But if players have played the game long enough to know of the existence of these glitches, then I think we should all
expect them not to abuse them in the interest of gameplay;don't go "Oh this cache is heavily defended and we are supposed to attack it!? Let's use a glitch to avoid actually playing the game so we can WIN!!!".
As an insurgent you already have to wait long for a tiny chance of killing the bluefor when they finally get out of their base in the Uberconvoy they took 30 min to plan. If you've been waiting for them at a cache, and they just glitch the cache.... why play at all you know. Some bluefor players treat the insurgents as props, instead of having a good fight and playing the game the way it was intended.
Short recap:
Do we need a rule: NO
Do we glitch-kill caches: NO

Gotta love it when I get kicked out of the server to make room for supporting member when I helped get the server going after it crashed. I was the 10th person in the server, it fills up, then BAM I get kicked. WTF?

The kicking system kicks is automated, it chooses the longest playing non-supporting member, and kicks him when a SM tries to join, it's nothing personal.
